Do not live here

The apartment overall was not terrible to live in. It is an old building, so there is wear and tear expected. However, we got into several legal disputes with the landlords who did not follow the lease or opening emails when we used them as evidence. It is not worth it at all. Also, the utility costs were very high in the winter

Well priced for the quality

The apartment is as expected for the price and amenities provided. Maintenance is easily accessible and helpful, and the property manager is reasonably responsive. There is in-unit washer/dryer and dish washer, but the kitchen is small and the stove is older. The property is in a great area for accessing campus, and the area feels reasonably safe, although I did have a bike stolen from the room where tenants keep bikes.

Cleveland Heights Apt Review

It's a livable apartment and there is enough space for the 2 of us, however, the kitchen is very small and the facility is definitely outdated. There's construction on either side of the apartment, but the location is great. We have an in-unit washer and dryer which is a plus. I don't have personal experience, yet, but have heard the landlord is a difficult guy with anger-management issues.

Challenging Landlord, Nice Apartment

First I will say that overall, I am very happy where I am living and after having lived here for a year and a half, I plan on staying until I graduate. The positives: well-kept building and individual units with hardwood floors and tile, no linoleum or carpet, in-unit washer & dryer & dishwasher, garage parking & internet including in my rent (which is very reasonable, considering), safe neighborhood that's an easy walk to Case, tons of storage including 2 sizeable walk-in closets in my apartment plus a separate storage unit on the main floor of the building, there's also a small gym in the building. Now, the negatives: the landlord can be personally challenging to deal with, and while I haven't had any too bad experiences with him, some Googling will yield not-so-positive results. That being said, I've found that if you're just firm with him about what you need him to do, he's fine. Every time I've requested maintenance, for example, they come and fix whatever issue within 24 hours, but I never receive any follow-up or notice that they've been by. The garage isn't in great shape, but it's nice to have covered parking that you don't have to pay extra for.

Do NOT rent from Premier Apartment Living!

The management is well-known among students' circles for being rude, abrasive, and actively trying to take advantage of tenants. The landlord can be threatening and I believe he takes advantage of students who aren't from the area as well as international students who do not understand their rights fully. Upon multiple occasions he entered the apartment without 24 hours notice (in fact, without any notice). The heat is also through electric radiators attached to the wall (the bill for which you are responsible for), and it can cost several hundred dollars a month, PER PERSON, to keep the apartment warm in the winter. Furthermore, he never returned my security deposit and has a record of doing this if you do a cursory google search.

Cheap and acceptable, but you get what you pay for

Comes with free underground parking, free Wi-Fi, washer/dryer in unit, and an extra half bathroom in my 2 bedroom apartment. The floors are hardwood and the apartments are clean but not renovated.

Good:
-Washer and dryer included in apartment
-Extra half bathroom
-Spacious layout (~1100-1200 sq ft)
-Close to Cedar Fairmount and restaurants/bars/Daves
-~25 minute walk to PBL

Bad:
-Free Internet is slow ... very slow
-Unless you have an SUV you'll scrape the underside of your car getting in and out of the ramp to the free parking garage
-Apartment floors have some weird protective covering that comes up without much friction - have to use rugs in living room and under mattresses, etc
-Electricity is EXPENSIVE during the winter because it's tied to the heat, so one pays ~$200/month just to be relatively comfortable. We're not blasting the heat by any means.
-Landlord is a menace and will likely try to hold your deposit for the smallest things

Relatively close, slightly overvalued rent, extremely overvalued cost of utilities

Apartment is decent. at $1150/m, it's a little over-valued (should be like a $800-$950/m) but landlord tries to make up for it by including internet (1mb up/1mb down) which he values at $75/m (extremely overvalued), parking spot in a garage or parking lot that's beyond repair which he values at $50/m.

The big issue is as soon as the heat was turned on, our electric bill went north of $190/m. This was a serious surprise and expect to pay $180-$200/m for 4 months out of the year. Landlord exemplifies all characteristics of a slum lord but if you're stern and polite, you can have a functional tenant/landlord relationship.

Rent at your own risk.

Terrible manager that will prey on out of towners, foreign students, and college students. He is notorious for stealing peoples security deposits and will come into your place unannounced. Rent at your own risk.
