okay but not great
I’ve lived in this apartment complex for about 8 months and have had like 5 inspections I don’t think it’s normal and I feel like my privacy isn’t really given. Also there is no parking which is a big reason I will be moving because it doesn’t really allow me to have guest without them paying, additionally the building is very old and doesn’t provide the best amenities one being the the heating system. I wish I could control it myself because it stays cold in my apartment since it’s set up to run on its own. One perk is I can walk to my classes, but this is also a downfall because of the crime in the area so when it winter and gets dark early it’s not a really an option. Not bad but there are better options in this price range that I think will offer more of what I’m looking for.

Decent living for relatively high price
The Cedar road where The Plateau apartment complex is located is a great area which is accessible to both restaurants and Dave's supermarket. However, recently out of state investors purchase of apartment complex have cause significant increase in housing expenses. Therefore, it has become harder to find affordable housing arrangements during the last 2 years.

Convenient location, great for students or professionals
Convenient location along the RTA public transit bus lines 32 and 7. Perfect for students or professionals since it is just up the hill from Cleveland Clinic and Case. Right next to Daves supermarket and multiple restaurants. Quiet neighbors, other than sound of traffic sometimes. Great price for the space, but building is older so there are other, minor problems (feel cold draft, squeaky wood floors, little built-in storage space). Have had mice in the apartment, because of the proximity to restaurants, but management responded within 24 hours to call pest control and set up traps. Property Investment Co/Ag Real Estate is very responsive to questions or maintenance requests - I've never waited more than 24 hours for a response or something to be fixed. They care about their residents from doing things like replacing the outdated washers and dryers with ones capable with paying through an app (as well as coins), cleaning shared spaces once a week during COVID, and promptly clearing the driveway of snow. I had my bike stolen from the locked laundry room, so that is the one downside. They installed the security system as a result.

Cheap, convenient, have noise
1. Rent is definitely cheap. For me, it is less than 500 after sharing with my roommate.
2. Old apartment. The floor makes noise, which upsets me most. When you walk on it, it constantly makes noise. Also, you can hear the noise from upstairs. There is also noise from the street. Because it is located right beside a main street. You can hear the noise of cars and their loud music.
3. Definitely convenient and close to school.
4. Dogs not allowed. Cats 50 dollars/month.

Nice apartment (depending on your neighbors)
As the subject suggests, I like this apartment overall but sometimes can be disturbed by the tenants living upstairs due to the noise from wooden floor and the relatively poor soundproof effect from the ceiling. I've never heard any noise from neighbors at the same floor though.
My 2B1B apartment is very spacious with two large living rooms so actually 1B1B can also be good for two but depending on specific floor plan of each unit.
There is a Dave's supermarket right across the street and many restaurants nearby, so very convenient for food and groceries. Shuttle stops are within 5 minutes' of walk so it's usually easy & fast to get to school. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Biomedical Research Building during the breaks when there are no shuttles.

Review of The Plateau Building
Good apartment with reasonable value. Close to market, cafe and bank. A little bit noisy because of the main road in front of the building.
