I love everything about living at 2116 chestnut, except for the rent. My apartment is new, updated, clean, floor to ceiling windows, large closets, has a doorman, and includes a great gym and amenity floor. It is a quick walk to work (~20 min from CHOP/Penn). The management is excellent, and fixes anything that breaks within a day. It is very quiet, I have never heard a peep from my neighbors or upstairs. My only gripe is the rent. My unit is a corner unit on a high floor with a balcony, so you could find a 1BR on a lower floor for a little bit cheaper.

We love our apartment. The location is incredible. Easy walk or bus to work. Very close to rittenhouse square and the whole city. Close to groceries at trader joes. The gym and rooftop pool are a huge quality of life perk for busy residents. And the view from the pool of the city is magnificent. The doormen and maintenance people are super nice. Parking is available in the building if you need it. The interior of the units is pretty variable so I can't necessarily comment on that but they all have lots of closets and two enormous floor to ceiling Windows looking out on the city

Very conveniently located with a variety of finishes from older to fairly modern. I think this building provides great value, although it does not have luxury amenities or the high-end finishes if that's something you value significantly.

Great value for money

Lovely big sized studios with floor to ceiling windows so a lot of natural light. Gym with a view on the top floor is nice. Most convenient building location for Wharton students like me as only a 20 minute walk to campus and close to all the main events. Probably the best location of all the major buildings. Also events are often held in our common area. Strong Wharton community with people always willing to help out of you need to borrow something. Very secure with friendly doorman. Only disadvantage is no subletting over summer.

I don't like how the AC system in the building makes loud sounds at night that can't be stopped (maintenance team says it's just because it's an old building). No one told me about that during tours, and it's hard to know because it only happens in the winter months. Otherwise, it's good place to live.

Excellent value for money. Carpet and bathrooms are not very new/updated, but they're ok.

Overall, great location for Wharton students and good amount of floor space. Each unit is owned by a management company or individual owner so the amenities can be very different. Ours is very old compared to other units. The closet space is a bit tight for 2 people in a 1-bedroom but you can make it work.
The building staff is wonderful!
