Love the building, very expensive
I love everything about living at 2116 chestnut, except for the rent. My apartment is new, updated, clean, floor to ceiling windows, large closets, has a doorman, and includes a great gym and amenity floor. It is a quick walk to work (~20 min from CHOP/Penn). The management is excellent, and fixes anything that breaks within a day. It is very quiet, I have never heard a peep from my neighbors or upstairs. My only gripe is the rent. My unit is a corner unit on a high floor with a balcony, so you could find a 1BR on a lower floor for a little bit cheaper.

Mostly great
Good: gym, distance to Penn campus, distance to Rittenhouse Square, print center, quiet, large apartments. This is a big upgrade coming from NYC.
Bad: poor blinds on windows, especially in the morning if you're facing east, mice on 5th floor outdoor patio, lack of responsiveness from management (and annoying emails - no live Xmas trees)

Great experience!
I love the building. Most of the Wharton community lives there, and it is easy from a social perspective. The common rooms are great, we do a lot of events there. I strongly recommend having a wooden floor instead of carpet.
Overall, great experience!

Wharton Mothership
We all live here; there's a tremendous advantage to that. It's the place to be; lots of events take place here, I can easy meet up to work with fellow students. Place is very nice and the management is lovely & responsive. Kinda pricey for Philly but you'll find the same situation at 1919 Market, Riverloft etc.

Great for Wharton
Perfect for a student living alone. Building is new, nice and spacious. The location is ideal for walking to and from class.

2116 Chestnut
This building has 100+ Wharton students so the moving process was very easy and accommodating for students. The 1BR apts are ~750 square feet, which is plenty of space for a couple. There is good storage space and the kitchen stuff is nice and new. It's a bit on the pricey side and they don't allow subletting in the summer. Management isn't very responsive, but maintenance requests are addressed very quickly.

Fitler Square Reviews
That being said I did notice that most students lived on the side of the school!
There are residents without housing in the neighborhood. They're good people and new residents should be respectful of them and their belongings.
