Very social but still pretty quiet. Lots of space!
Station 9 is where all the action is. It's very close to Fuqua (6min drive) and across the street from a great grocery store and shopping center. Highly recommended for social MBA students who want a lot of space for a good deal!

Great Location, Bad Design, Awkardly Shaped Pool, Gets a little noisy
Perfect for a graduate business school student wanting to live like a 20 year old. The parties last well into the morning, you'll always run in to drunks post 10 PM, Tuesday-Friday-Saturday nights the place sounds noisier than a football stadium. The poor cops come in every night. Pro Tip - Do not live on the Harris Teeter Side. 108, 1008, 2008, 3008 come with free shrill and drunk sorority girl noise on Weekend nights.
That said, the location is amazing. Right next to Harris Teeter and the ninth street restaurants, super easily access to Duke East and West campuses, Downtown, Freeways, Cookout and Cosmic Cantina.
The pool is shaped like a male organ. It really is.
The hallways look shoddy, the insides of the apartment are fine. The appliances are pretty good.
VERY overpriced by Durham standards. But if you are a business school student, chances are that you have very little financial prudence so go ahead and live here or you wont be able to talk about the awesome network of uber-privileged, hyper-sexual, alcohol and cocaine charged, mostly straight white bankers and consultants.
If you are a non MBA student, sympathies. S9 is an island of activity in an extremely boring town but most MBAs really dont want to be friends with you, sparing the occasional hookup.

Convenient
It's very convenient to be living near so many other students. Your experience will definitely depend on your neighbors; whether you get a noisy bunch or a quiet bunch.

Station Nine: Great for social, Poor for value
From the time I stepped foot on campus (first for interview and then for BDW) all interactions with current students pointed to Station Nine as the de facto place to live for the younger, single crowd at Fuqua. It was presented as the center for many social events and so for me it was a no-brainer.
After two years of living there I'd certainly agree that it is the center for a number of Fuqua social events. It also is well located. However the price continues to skyrocket and compared to the newer buildings (like Berkshire Main, Lofts, and Trinity) the value for money isn't quite there.
Station Nine lacks the amenities and overall "niceness" that justifies having rent on par with those other properties.
If social is your thing you can still easily walk over from Berkshire but end up with a nicer apartment for a similar rent.
Alternatively if walking to school is important Trinity and Lofts are walking distance and are much nicer complexes than Station Nine.

Management is great. A safe place. Lighting indoors isn't the best. The pool is great in the summer.

Social Center but could be better
S9 has been the social center for Fuqua for a number of years. I paid a premium for this over other apartments which had better amenities or lower price. The loft layout adds a ton of room and I think it's a great value. It was great for a year, but I'm looking forward to moving into a 3BR condo next year that's a bit more removed from the 95% fuqua environment.

The apartment is comfortable and well located. Best thing about the place is that so many people live in the same complex, so transportation, pregames, etc it's always easy. There's a 24hr supermarket crossing the street, as well as variuous restaurants walking distance.
