This place rages
If you're looking to release your inhibitions after getting pounded in the early stages of your MBA, then Station 9 is for you. It's exactly what you need, for a fraction of the price of the Berkshire alternatives. Long live Station 9, long live Teets!

Love station nine!
I love living at Station Nine. I live in the smallest layout, and still think it's huge (way bigger than my previous apts in SF, LA and DC!). Management is responsive to service requests, there's valet trash, covered/gated parking, in-unit washer/dryer, a gym, and a pool. It's also super convenient to be next to a Harris Teeter, and to live so close to other Fuqua students (for c-lead meetings, social activities, etc.). Honestly no complaints!

Knew What I Signed Up For
The building is what it is: a convienent spot to be around your classmates. The amenities are passable, but nothing special.

Horrible
The only benefit of living in station nine is living close to friends from the MBA. I would recommend living nearby.
It just a pain to live there. Very confusing lay out. Guests cannot go to the front and ring you in. Calls drop constantly. I had my packages stolen and the mgmt didn't really think that it was their responsibility.
The gym is crap and so are most of the amenities so you are better off going to the buildings nearby. In most of those, you also get a reduced rent when you are not there so you don't have to worry about paying rent when you are not at school.

Station 9 Negative Review
The management is not helpful and the building layout is horrible. Management does a really bad job communicating with residents. Gym & pool not nearly as good as other nearby buildings.

Pricey for Durham; Great for Fuquans
S9 is great for Fuquans. Most of my classmates are either here or at B9 right next door. From my apartment to Fuqua is a 9 min drive and a 5 min walk. Harris Teeter is super convenient, and you're only a 5 min walk from restaurants, bars, and anything else you'd need. All the girls who work in the management office are very polite and cordial. With that said, it is a bit pricey for what you get.
The workout part of the gym is small and lacks some equipment. The pool and outdoor amenities are decent but nothing special. The finishes on my apartment aren't super nice (no granite counter tops or stainless appliances). There is no security system, and you're stuck with TWC for cable/internet. Bills range anywhere from $80-200/month. My apartment also has a small pest problem as I consistently see some small bugs. Management is working on that for me and has been very good to me so far. All in all though, $1200+ for a 1 bedroom in Durham should come with more.
My apartment is right by the pool. The noise of people enjoying summer can get loud on the weekends in the warmer months, but it's manageable. Given the timeline for studying at Fuqua, I don't plan on moving 2nd year, however if I was here longer, I would be looking for another place.

Don't do it
Management is absolutely awful. The pool was closed during all the warm months, we get charged for leaving our trash out at the wrong time but we can't opt out of valet trash, and it's the only complex in the area that didn't give summer discounts to residents who were going away for summer internships (Berkshire 9 and Berkshire Main gave $500 monthly rent).

Station Nine
Station Nine is a fine place to live while at Fuqua. It doesn't have a lot of frills, but most people tend to live there so that makes up for it. Apartment size is decent, and it is well-maintained.
