Great for families and students

Good for families or students who want adult living. Not loud, no undergrads. Lots of space and good management.

Overall good place to live

Woodbury Gardens is a nice place to live if you are looking for an apartment by yourself or with a family. Clubhouse (leasing office) has good amenities and the condos are well maintained (apart from the occasional maintenance required). Pedestrian path and nearby surroundings are generally well maintained. However, place is far from Business School and you'll need a car for commuting to b school at night when bus becomes infrequent. Condos are not energy efficient so you can get hefty heat bills if it gets really cold.

Spacious apartments, great amenities (swimming pool, gym, shuttle, breakfast...)

960 sq. feet, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with 1 shared shower. The apartment is great, clean, well painted, nice carpet, and comes with washer and dryer inside. Woodbury Gardens also has a nice swimming pool (great to use in the summer) and a gym. The study rooms in the Clubhouse are great as well. Every day there's free breakfast in the clubhouse, from 7 to 9 am.
The distance from Woodbury to Ross is about 20 minutes walking, or 5 min by car. There's a shuttle that drives people to Ross almost on an hourly basis, which is great.
Overall is a great place to live, and I recommend.

Great apartments

Woodbury Gardens is the best combination of price, amenities, and location. The apartments are much larger and better appointed than those that are closer to campus. Key aspects that Woodbury is known for: in unit washer/dryer, lots of closet space, unfurnished, garbage disposal, dishwasher, central heating and A/C, free and abundant parking. Also, the cost is much more reasonable than places on campus like Landmark. The only issue is the commute to school. I personally love early morning bike rides, so Woodbury works out perfectly for me. In total, it takes about 7 minutes door to door from the Ross building.

Overall, Woodbury is clean, quiet, safe, well appointed, convenient, and affordable. Especially for bicyclists, it's the best value in Ann Arbor.

It's okay

Great location and lots of space in the basement to store things. The problem is the management does not do a good job keeping residents aware of maintenance and other operations around the complex.

Quiet neighboorhood away from everything

Interpret the title of my review however you wish. On one hand, the neighborhood is very serene and removed from distractions, noise, etc. On the other hand, the location is rather far from the UM campus. For those without a car, there is a nearby CVS for household essentials, and Lucky's Market for groceries (though a bit on the expensive side). There is also a shuttle bus that departs 6 times a day headed towards UM central campus, and three return shuttles. The shuttle bus is very convenient, but it frequently fills to capacity, so arrive early. Otherwise, the Ann Arbor #6 bus route stops just outside of the apartment area.

Quiet and spacious

My apartment is great, lots of space and very quiet location. There is a shuttle bus that drives students to and from school, which is very convenient. The gym and conference rooms at Woodbury are also very nice. Management could be better.

Woodbury Review

Woodbury is pleasant. They offer a shuttle that runs to and from Ross multiple times per day which is convenient. There are two parks in the neighborhood and lots of green space, which is great for walking dogs. The apartments are a little dated, but the management is relatively responsive if there are any issues.

Great Value, Not Super Close to Ross

Woodbury has everything that I was looking for in an Ann Arbor townhouse... lots of space, free parking, quiet and a decent amount of amenities. A lot of Ross/ grad school students living here. However, it is a bit of a trek to Ross, so I would definitely recommend at least one person in the apartment have a car (I have a car, and it has been super helpful). Also, the management company can be a little slow and not great to deal with, but haven't had to work with them too often.

Woodbury is bare bones

Woodbury Gardens is one of the largest apartment/town home communities in Ann Arbor. It gives you everything you need, and not much else. The new clubhouse is a quality feature for meetings, printing, and basic cardio fitness, but the actual apartments are still very basic. Overall, it's a good value, especially if you're coming from a major city where rents are sky high.

Woodbury Gardens is its own community - so we don't get a lot of surrounding neighborhood effect and it's quieter.

I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
Overall, a nice and quiet neighborhood that feels secure and is slightly removed from campus, so you're away from the hustle and bustle of the University. Definitely a grad student neighborhood. Close to public transit lines, and there is a nice grocery store near the apartment complex. Running trails are nearby, and road access to I-94 is pretty quick as well. Within an extended walk of campus, the Big House, and Ross. Really enjoy living here.
I like the convenience of getting to Ross in six minutes for class, group meetings, or coffee chats. It’s great to be able to come home and grab a quick bite before changing into a suit and walking back over. Easy walk to hockey games, and about 15 minutes to Bus/Big House. Well situated to make it to social gatherings at Skeeps, Rick’s, Munger, or any other place.
Woodbury is on the other side of Stadium Ave from Burns Park, but it's convenient access. The complex itself is pretty friendly; lots of law students around though it takes a bit of effort to get to know neighbors since everyone is on their own schedules and it's a generally older crowd.
Quiet neighborhood, many UMich grad students. Good availability of shops and amenities. Definitely has a more suburban feel than the areas closest to campus/downtown and not as many restaurants/bars nearby.
Quieter area with more families and not many undergraduate students. Still walkable to campus, but you probably won’t want to do the walk in the winter and need a car to get to grocery stores.
The neighborhood has everything you need (grocery, coffee, pharmacy, etc.) and is close to the Big House. It is farther away from downtown's bars, restaurants, and other amenities.
Safe, albeit there have been bicycle theft issues. It is quiet here in the community. Walking distance to UM Stadium, not far from Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Plum Market, etc...
