Excellent space and sunlight for your money
I live in a 1B1B apartment, and it is very big when compared to other apartments in the area. The pricing is very good because we don't have an indoor common room or pool, but the gym is quite good and we have lots of sunlight.
Also, the building is not of the best quality (i.e. thin walls, not perfect cleaning), but management is very responsive, and the people working at the front desk are very friendly.
I do not regret living here at all. I would suggest picking the apartments that have windows in the bedrooms.

Value for money
Pros:
- We have a corner unit which is quite big in size with an expansive common area. I believe most apartments in the building are decently sized.
- Building is neat, clean and secure
- Gym is well-equipped and free to use for residents
- TJ and Septa are across the street
Cons:
- No windows in non-corner rooms
- Need fob to access the elevator and apartments- good for security, bad when you have visitors.

Lots of windows and space
Go and rent at 2040 Market Street. At this moment, it is by far the best value for money among the highrise buildings (1919 Market and 2116 Chestnut are both far more expensive, and even 2400 Chestnut is also more expensive). The building is relatively new, there is a two-floor gym inside the building free for all to use, most units have an in-unit washer/dryer and dishwasher, and there is a lot of space particularly in the 2b2b units. We have really immensely enjoyed living here, and the value for money is even higher than the brownstone, where we lived before. There is 24/7 security at the front desk to receive packages and help any resident, the leasing office is in the same building, and it is very well connected to public transport and nearby shops (e.g. a Trader Joe's around the corner and a Giant very close-by also). The street outside the building (Ludlow street) is not very well lit at night, but Market Street (on the other side of the building) is very well lit and there is also 21st Street which you can also exit onto.
Our apartment gets a lot of sun since it is facing west and has large windows on the entire western front.

Good value
Overall 2040 Market is a good value for the amount of space you get compared to other large, luxury apartment buildings. The location is very convenient to the trolley station, but Market St. doesn't always feel the safest at night (people like to hang around the liquor store). There are a ton of students in the building though so there is a nice community here. Management is responsive to requests, but the building itself isn't modern / in perfect condition (dark carpeting in the bedroom, limited lighting, scratches on cabinets).

Great location, friendly staff
Close to trolley; reception staff is usually very friendly; In the middle of all Wharton buildings; price not as bad as similar buildings nearby;
Decent gym available for free;
If your apt is facing Market street, it can get a bit noisy, but bedrooms are usually away from the outside wall so I've had no issues sleeping despite being a relatively light sleeper.
