- gorgeous units with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and in-unit washer and dryer
Exciting Place to Live: Luxury Apartments but you pay for it!
Park Towne Place Premier are all recently renovated luxury apartments. The units are gorgeous with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer in unit, clean lines, and a modern feel.
The complex features a 24 hour gym, a community center (excellently decorated) with massive TVs and a fire place, demonstration kitchen, dry cleaners on site, and opening in a few months is a grocery store in the bottom floor. If you're willing to pay extra, there's a parking garage under the buildings for residents.
There's a beautiful pool complete with cabanas that's open from around May to October. They do a pretty great job with landscaping and keeping it looking nice. The building also has rotating art installations in the lobby.
Utilities are reasonably priced. We live in a 1300 sq ft 2 bedroom unit and pay around $150 a month for utilities. They're based on a co-op system and not individually metered.
Units have TONS of sunlight with windows everywhere. We've seen our fair share of apartments in Philadelphia and if you're wiling to pay the premium, these are by far the nicest/ most spacious we've encountered.
They're also putting in several dog parks around the buildings. Very pet friendly!

Good Place to Live
Park Towne Place is a wonderful place to live, what they've done with the South Tower is phenomenal, and will soon come to all the other towers. Being this close to the Art Museum, Oval, and the river trail is the reason I live here. Can't beat the location either. j

Overall Great but with Caveats
The newly renovated Park Town Place Premier apartments are some of the nicest in Philly that are within student budget. We love the apartment. That said, management has a tendency to mess things up. I highly recommend living here, but I also recommend strategizing (I'm happy to help) on how to ensure management delivers what they promise.

Good building, but far from school
Park Towne Place is pretty far away from Drexel's campus and the walking back and forth in the winter, especially when it snows, can be frustrating.

Not good
The apartment looks good, but my unit has mice which has been a deal breaker for me.

Park Towne Place
The environment at Park Towne Place is pretty good. Wholefoods is nearby and it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to City Hall. There is also a shuttle bus every half an hour that goes to Center City. The only thing that can be difficult at times is that the shuttle bus that goes to University City runs only in the early morning and late afternoon. The distance from Drexel to park Towne place is about a 30 minutes walk. If you do not mind walking, Park Towne might be a good place to live for you. As for me, I would have prefered to live closer to University City, because I have lot of evening classes.

Great place, poor management
The building and the area around Park Towne Place is wonderful and its convenient since its close to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. However, management is the poorest I've ever seen. It's really hard to negotiate with the management team. In general, it's a good place to live until you inevitably start having some problems with the apartment.
