Close to school

Its a really short walk to the law school building, which means i get to avoid having to pay for the parking garage and worry about traffic. The rooms are pretty nice and quiet and it has a rooftop pool. But there are a lot of people in the building and they take a long time for maintenance requests and the hot water has been going off.

Good Location, Comfortable Apartment

I have enjoyed living here so far. The people who work in the building are super nice and helpful. The building is clean and my apartment is comfortable. I am a little less than a mile from the law building so my commute is really easy. My biggest issues are the AC/Heating system and the parking garage. The HVAC system is either AC or Heating for the whole building so there are a couple of weeks in the spring/fall where the it is too hot outside and no way to cool my apartment. The parking garage is the smallest garage i've ever seen. Parking is extremely difficult.

Not Bad

Building is older and the units aren't anything fancy. But for the price, it is isn't a bad deal. Good location with lots of restaurants around and only about a 10 minute walk to the metro Red Line.

Decent

Very affordable with lots of space but there is a good bit of law enforcement activity at the property and fire/ems is often here.

Great for older students

Great for older students already established in the area or for people who do not want to travel into DC often.

Minor inconveniences.

During the day, a lot of issues can arise. No water, gas, or elevators down, but the issues are generally fixed before 5:00. Property manager hires black people and rent apartments to black people, but her attitude towards black people gives off undercover racist. Overall, the apartment works for its purpose: peaceful place to sleep that is close to school.

The apartment is generally nice. There’s a gym and pay per load laundry services. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it is smoking friendly, if that would bother some people. Sometimes the hallways smell.

The apartment is clean, staff is friendly, and overall everything is good.
There are not many amenities but there is a small gym and community room.

Summit hills

I only recommend the high rise building 8484. Since I’ve been here, they have been doing construction, renovating the balconies- without prior notice. This is the major issue I have with this property. There are also no cameras on the property. I have heard negative reviews on the remaining buildings- I live in 8484, the only high rise, and the building where the leasing office is located.

Decent overall

A bit overpriced given the lack of response to some maintenance issues and the noise from neighboring apartments, but very spacious, safe, and multiple amenities to enjoy.

Affordable luxury

It’s very affordable with a few roommates. It is not a party apartment complex. There are lots of small children and elderly people.
