Awesome Spot

McClurg Court is a fantastic residence in the heart of Chicago. Amenities include a recently renovated gym with pool and tennis courts and a business center with free printing. The front door staff are friendly. The apartments are also located within walking distance to the downtown campus of Northwestern University and Michigan Avenue.

Very nice amenities

Rent is expensive but the amenities will pay for it. Gym includes swimming pool and indoor tennis court. There is a sundeck, cyber Cafe which is essentially a study lounge with free printing. There's a seven eleven indoor and a grocery store within the same building.

McClurg is awesome!!

I have really enjoyed living in this apartment building. The management is good and responsive, and all the renovations they have been doing has improved the building. Apartment building is always kept clean. Apartment is spacious and has great lighting.

McClurg Court

While the amenities are great and the leasing staff is very friendly, rent increases a lot with release renewal. The two bedroom apartment with two baths is extremely spacious due to a very large living room and is great for hosting people and parties.

Great Location and Good Facilities

McClurg court is a very nice place to live in, especially if you want to live in the city. Their facilities are well kept, and they offer a lot of amenities, such as an indoor gym, tennis court, and pool. They also have a 24-hour studying center which is perfect for students who are looking for an alternative place to study. Highly recommended!

Great location for Northwestern

I live here because it is less than a five minute walk from the Northwestern medical school and the Northwestern Memorial Hospital. This location is perfect for it.
I think the units are a little large for students, but I thoroughly enjoy living here. The gym is recently renovated with a yoga studio, many strength training machines and a heated pool. The deck is nice with enough grills to go around.
Maintenance, in my experience is pretty responsive, usually finishing my work orders the same day or the next.
One thing I dislike is the size of my kitchen. There really is not that much counter space, and I would like to have more.

McClurg Court-Great Value for the Location

I've lived here for a year now and am starting the second year of my lease. I chose to continue living here since it gave me great value for my money relative to other locations in Streeterville; I have a expansive gym that I can use with indoor tennis courts, spinning machines, weights, an indoor pool, and a dance studio. I get free printing and a study lounge downstairs, which is useful as I am a student. There are also occasional McClurg parties where the management provides food and drinks to celebrate special occasions. I feel very safe here since there are so many people and there is a doorman downstairs. I also enjoy the instant maintenance for any plumbing, electrical, etc. issues. I'm a big fan of the ample closet space, large windows and spacious rooms.

Great Location and Value- No Complaints

No major complaints so far. Work orders get addressed very quickly- usually by the next day. Maintenance is very nice. The location is great, grocery stores are very close by, lots of restaruants, close to the lake. Bad things about the apt- the walls are paper thin, you can often hear your neighbors talking/moving things around. Elevators frequently don't work but it seems like thats been getting better.

McClurg Court

McClurg Court is overall a solid apartment complex: the elevators can be a bit slow but the amenities are good and overall management and maintenance are responsive. There was very little transparency about when major renovations were going to happen, which left us with a makeshift gym for about half the year, unfortunately. However, now that's done the coming few years should be relatively free of major renovations for future renters.

Streeterville Reviews

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.
I enjoy living in Streeterville since it's near many of Chicago attractions without feeling overwhelming like in the Loop. I am able to walk around safely at night and I like going jogging in Millennium Park. My biggest complaint would be the lack of greenery in the area and how the city can feel a little bit insulating at times. Public transportation is great. This area is pricey, which is why I decided to have a roommate.
The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. Its become a great place for professionals who enjoy living downtown, but without the club crowds in River North.
There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.
While on the expensive end in Chicago, streeterville is safe, has all the necessities (look for apts near grocery stores if you don't have a car!!), is super close to school (and most feinberg students so convenient for socializing), and is super close proximity to restaurants and bars.
This building is located in the center of everything you could possibly need. Whole foods and Jewel within walking distance, easy to get to the lake front, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The only down side is that it does not really have a "neighborhoody" feel.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
