Great
I am living for free as a graduate resident at 300 Swift Avenue. All amenities are included and i live in a studio apartment

Great place to live, but no longer available to grad students.
This apartment is perfect for my needs and I was attracted to it since it was advertised as a more upscale place to stay which keeps undergrads away. Most people who live here are professionals and graduate students. However Duke University just bought this complex to replace some of their undergrad dorms so this will no longer be a living option for future grad students.

Great apartments, review lease term
Great apartment buildings that are going to be off the market temporarily.

300 Swift: not available post 2016/2017 year
Apartment was ok, but was recently purchased by Duke and will no longer be available to grad students for 2017+.

300 Swift -- Don't live here!
They're booting out all of the current graduate student residents in May. Do not live here.

Close to campus, less $/sqft than b9
We moved here because it was closer to campus so I can bike on non-main roads. Also the apartment has solid surface floors, great for pets. We have a big 1BR, 877 ft2. Decent amenities, not a lot of parties, but still close enough to s9 to wander back.

300 Swift - awesome place that nobody knew about
thought i was going to sign with a popular place (think station 9, berkshire 9, loft and belmont). But the visit during DBW in april 2015 changed my mind.
-300 swift was built in 2014 (rooms and amenities are still very new, without the smell of a new building).
-Staff and management were very nice, and still are. Location is 8 minute away from Fuqua (by car, or by bus C3 which stops right in front of the apartment).
-If you work out, the apartment has a great gym (so much bigger and nicer than other apartments that I visited) and a separate yoga room. It is also 8-minute WALK away from the brodie gym on the east campus.
-Whole foods is 6-minute walk away. The 9th street is also very close, so you are not far from your friends there.
In conclusion, VALUE in living here is so much better. come and see for yourself.

Love 300 Swift!
I've lived here for about a month now with my Husband, dog and cat and we are SO in love with the apartment complex and Durham in general. The apartment complex is unbelievably spacious, the gym is amazing, and there is a large separate private yoga studio! There is covered parking in a parking garage and the pool is always a perfect temperature. The wood floors are high ceilings in each apartment just add to my love for this place. Would highly recommend to anyone!

300 Swift is better than Berkshire 9
If you're a couple, you're probably considering B9. You get more for your money at 300 Swift (equal quality), the front office is significantly nicer and more helpful (you don't get noise complaints or accused of bizarre damages), and you don't live on top of a grocery store parking lot.
Give it a look - it wins on all accounts.
