Woodbury Gardens reviews and highlights
- best combination of price, amenities, and location
- great neighborhood
- lots of green space, which is great for walking dogs
- serene and removed from noise
- clean and the maintenance team is very responsive
Good, but has its issues
The community is nice, with lots of trees and sidewalks to jog/run. As a bonus, there are a lot of cute dogs. The clubhouse also serves 'breakfast' on school mornings, which can be useful if you're rushing out the apartment. The shuttle is also helpful, though the times this term suck.
For the cons - I didn't find the initial experience with the leasing office very pleasant. In addition, maintenance requests can take quite a while to be addressed. The entryway to the buildings don't get cleaned for weeks and are scattered with dead leaves from outside. I've complained about this but it doesn't appear to be a priority for them.

Good Location. Great Amenities. Amazing Management
No complaints after living at Woodbury for a semester. Any maintenance issues are addressed promptly. Neighbors are lax and allow reasonably-sized gatherings. Shuttle to and from campus is a huge help. Free coffee every morning for residents. Free parking (car ports available too). The only complaint I have about the house is that the amount of ceiling lighting is minimal in living room, bedrooms, and dining area, so we needed to buy a lot of standing lamps. Other than that, great place.

Well Maintained and Quiet Place to Live
I've had a great experience at Woodbury. They are extremely on top of maintenance and even send maintenance crews to take care of various things from time to time without prompting. The neighborhood is mostly grad students and young professionals/families from what I can tell. It's generally pretty quiet and pretty to walk around. My only "complaints" are that I wish my unit was bigger for the price I'm paying and that the walk to the UM Campus (~ 25 minutes) is long when the weather is bad (but great when the weather is nice).

Great Place to Live
Woodbury is a great neighborhood. The only negative is distance from Ross. The apartments are clean and well maintained. The staff is nice - best place to be a dog owner.

Great apartment community and great value
Great size, quality of apartment. Great green space. Could be closer to school but the best part is that the public bus stop is literally across from us and there is a separate shuttle that runs regularly to Ross.

Convenient apartments but bad management
Value for money wise, a Woodbury apartment is pretty convenient, but it is definitely not Luxury Living as it likes to describe itself. The maintenance staff is very competent but leasing and management office will always take the easy way out and string you on when you bring up any issues. There’s a nice Ross community at Woodbury, but I’m not sure if I would decide to live here again.

Very good accomodation
- Clean and friendly community.
- Apartments are spacious and well maintained with a lot of storage space
- Management has been pretty good about repairs for our individual units
- Shuttle makes it very easy to get to and from campus except in the late evening, but the city bus drops off quite close to the residential area.
- Decent number of activities in the area (bowling, York restaurants, Fraser's pub for sports, etc) however no grocery store nearby means at least one roommate with a car is essential.

Poor Staffing and Quality
Over the past two years we have had multiple instances of poor management and maintenance while at Woodbury Gardens:
- Bees infested the apartment and the exterminator couldn't come for two weeks.
- Office staff gave the master key to a contractor, and had no clue which apartment they were entering. Told us to call 911 when we saw them on security camera.
- Dog park is covered with mud 9 months of the year.
- Loud neighbors with barking dogs.
- Marijuana billows from neighbors apartments.
- Management changed lease prices drastically when lease renewal approached.
- Appliances and service are subpar, money would be better spent at other locations in the A2 area.

Woodbury Gardens Community
This is the place to live if you want a little separation from the campus but still want a community of other Rossers! The apartments are fine but pretty good for the price compared to comparable options. Parking is free and you can reserve a covered spot for $25/mo. The pool and adjacent parks are nice amenities and the shuttle makes it convenient to get to and from campus each day.

Yost Reviews
I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
