Close to metro, nice amenities
The Gale (formerly Trilogy NOMA) is a nice building with great amenities (outdoor pool/grilling area, two gyms, community areas, business center, concierge). We had a great apartment that was pet-friendly and had as small dog park. 24 hour security..

Good place to live
Great new management with JBG. Quality amenities including 2 pools, 2 fitness centers and a dog park. The area isn't the safest, but you feel safe in the immediate vicinity. New restaurants and bars are popping up. Close walk to Union Market and the Metro.

Great apartments but a little pricey
Love the apartment - the kitchen is big and beautiful, the windows let in a ton of light and the walk in closet is great! Management has mostly been great, though we had some frustrations with the finance woman, not sure if she's still there though...

Trilogy Noma
The building is beautiful, and I like the amenities. It's a lot of space for what we pay. The location isn't the best but I knew all that going into it...
My problem is the management. They will nickle and dime you for everything - even a fee to "prepare your bill" every month. You have to pay $25 for valet trash that won't come on Saturday and Sunday and won't take boxes. The pet rates are also high, even for DC.
The management is also rigid and inflexible - do you have a car there for only a few days? Guess what, you can't pay a prorate to put it in the garage; you have to pay for a full month. WHY?! There is TONS of space in the garage.
Speaking of the garage, bikes are stolen all the time. Why not put a lock on the bike cage, or put cameras there, or something?

Trilogy Noma
This is a great location if you have some extra money to spend. For a complex, it's reasonably priced, but I found that I wasn't using all the amenities I was paying for, and many of the services like printing and the door entry are often out of order. Staff is friendly and units are modern, but only worth it if you take advantage of ALL the services.

Trilogy NoMa - Great for entertaining & young adults
The buildings look like hotels on the inside. This a great place for young adults who like to entertain since it has 2 pools, a pool table, lots of open "living" areas, and a small "movie theater". Downside: only one grill in the main pool area. There are also 2 gyms and concierge service. The apartments tend to be spacious but if your windows are facing the main pool, it can get really loud during weekends and keep going into the wee hours. The walls are a little thin and you can probably hear the TV or people in the next room.
One of the pros of living here is how easy it is to get around: red line takes you to Union Station and downtown, there are Zip Car rentals, and a Capital Bikeshare station right across the street. Although the NoMa metro station is not that far (approx 7 minutes walking), the resident shuttle is definitely a plus for when it's raining, really cold or hot. The driver is super nice and friendly.
My only issue with the location is the lack of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There are a couple of places near the metro, but they are mostly casual/fast food restaurants (i.e. Five guys, Wendy's, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts), unless you go to the restaurants in the nearby hotels.
In terms of the management, my experience has been pretty good. However, on one occasion we waited several days for a maintenance request to reattach the bathroom's fan cover. Also, the leasing office hours are not too convenient if you have a full time 9 to 6 job, but at least you can leave messages and your rent with the concierge.

Wonderful cheapest NoMa option
Was easy to choose in a land of high rises- Trilogy offers amenities comparable to the surrounding buildings for a much more reasonable price. Highly recommend unless you have a car or dog in which case you will be paying a lot for those add ons. If you do not have either of those responsibilities you will have an enjoyable stay!

This place is amazing
I love the place as well as the people that I am living with. It is an enormous and well designed lovely community with dog owners and plenty to do around it. Cute coffee shops, restaurants, and other great amenities are just around the corner! Spectacular!

Great Location Great Units
I love where I live and think it is amazing. Great neighbors and its pet friendly and really I just love NoMa as a whole. There is also a lot of nature nearby and a ton of fun nightlife and things to do. NoMA is still "up and coming", but there are still quite a few bars, restaurants, and clubs just right around the corner

Trilogy
I like Trilogy. I've lived there for two years. I think the management is a little bit disorganized and does not always know information about their own building and rules so that is frustrating. But overall it is a safe and well maintained apartment complex. Close to the metro, easy safe walk. It is what I like to call a hidden gem in DC because it is only a mile or so from U street, a mile from Union Station and a mile from Gallery place. It's close to everything and on the red line. Good spot.
