Whether you want to live alone or share an apartment with roommates, this is an excellent property due to its location as well as the amenities it provides. Additionally, grocery stores and restaurants are within a walking distance of the property.

Great place
The amenities around here are awesome. Walking distance to a planet fitness, Target, Harris Teeter, CVS, 10+ different restaurants, the entire Pentagon City mall is here, 7 minute walk to the metro and 15 minute ride into school. Great place to live if you don't want to live in downtown DC.

Great except 20 minute commute
Apartment is great tons of space, much cheaper rent in Arlington compared to in DC/Foggy Bottom I pay the same/less compared to people with roommates but I have far more space. Commute is about 20-25 minutes with the Metro which is close by.

Best place outside DC
The best apartment complex/community, three buildings with grills on rooftops, two pools, tons of space and green (which is hard to find in a city), next to pentagon city mall, its a great area overall. You do only have the blue line for the metro and have to walk through the mall but it's not bad at all. Extremely recommend at least looking at this place!

River House Apartments
The apartment is walking distance from a Harris Teeter, several restaurants and stores, the Pentagon City Metro Stop, the Pentagon City Mall, and the Pentagon.
The apartment has a nice rooftop lounge, pool, fire pit/bbq area, gym, business center, and parking options.
The apartment is pet friendly, and apartments are spacious for the value/location.

Nice Location and Moderate Housing
The apartment is decent, maintenance works quickly to fix your issues. The location is great, right next to the metro and Pentagon City Mall.

Solid option
This place checked all the boxes I looked for in an apartment. I came up here to apartment hunt for a week and was able to see the location and amenities first hand.
The location is ideal in that is it just across one street from the nearest metro stop. The 10 minute walk takes you around a store front, which has all sorts of shopping and dining options. The location is very pet friendly.
The amenities include two pools, and two small gyms with weights and cardio equipment. The rooftop and poolside BBQ grills are phenomenal gas-operated setups that are cleaned regularly. The building is clean and the laundry room is kept as clean as possible. Some apartments come with laundry sets but cost way more.
I only picked this unit because my unit was listed much lower than the other units in this property and much cheaper than other locations.

Riverhouse - Ashley
Apartment is large in comparison to those I've seen in D.C. Not a bad commute to the law school, I actually enjoy it as it allows time for decompression. Apartment is close to grocery stores including Costco. Great apt. for a pet or car owner. Good amenities in general including a gym, pool, and tennis courts. Only things I don't like is that the apartment is older and thus you have problems that an older apartment would have (older appliances, shower, etc.).

Pentagon City Reviews
For the metro, the ride itself is about 20 min. I just budget in extra time for walking and not wanting to arrive just on time. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to get to school unless they're doing maintenance. Then, add 10 minutes.
There is not a lot of green space, unless you count Long Bridge "Park", which is a dead-end, cement "bridge" that looks over soccer and baseball fields with some views of D.C.
Pros:
-Very metro-accessible (blue/yellow, so can get into the city in multiple directions if there are delays)
-Walkable - easy to get to grocery store, Pentagon City mall, library, restaurants, etc. within minutes
-Quiet and safe, and generally well-lit in the evenings
Cons:
-I'd like to see a few more restaurant options. There are good casual dining options, like Naked Pizza, California Pizza Kitchen, and the mall food court, but besides Bonefish Grill there's not much a step up from that.
-I don't feel much sense of community, and don't know my neighbors. Not as diverse-seeming as other parts of DC.
