The apartment itself is good. It’s relatively new, it was clean when I moved in, and management fixes things quickly if they break or need maintenance. The drawbacks are the constant noise (mostly from the garbage room directly below my apartment, but also construction, pedestrians, etc.). Additionally the windows are never cleaned and the screens do not cover the entire window so unless I want flys I basically cannot open my windows unless it’s cold.

Great for Commuters!

Camden NoMa is close to grocery stores, Union market, and conveniently located next to the Red Line. It’s a quiet but vibrant community in a nice, urban neighborhood.

Love my apartment!

It's not CLOSE to school, but it's a very easy 30 min commute from NoMa to Farragut North (including the 10 minute walk to school from Farr North). It's so worth it. Great area with lots of new restaurants and more opening up. Insanely amazing amenities. Near Chinatown.

Construction Annoying, but Good Spot

Camden is a good property...There are som draw backs. The construction in the area is quite annoying and bothersome. Camden is building an add on to the building so you have to deal with that every day. The amenities are great- the only draw back is that occasionally there are large parties in one of the common rooms. The apartment is nice, but the management doesn't appear to have clear lines of communication. Sometimes things fall through the cracks and you have to constantly check up on the progress of a mantinece request or a missing package. I love living here and don't want to move!

A perfect mix for great value!

Camden NOMA is a great place to live. Close to the red line metro and shops, it is the perfect location for a short commute. The apartment is modern, safe and finished to a high standard. The amenities are excellent with a swimming pool, large gym, cyber cafe and games room with full size pool table.

Good sized rooms and laundry space

I love living here but there really isn't much in NoMa. We got a really great deal on our apartment because a group of interns were moving out but if not, it would be way over priced. The one thing I love is our laundry room. I can't believe we found an apartment in the city with a laundry room! Another great thing is the rooms are similar in size so it makes it easier for splitting the rent.

Camden NoMa

I have had a pleasant experience living at NoMa for the past 6 months. The apartment building is well-maintained and management seems very responsive. The gym is one of my favorite amenities here, though there's not a lot of cardio equipment, there's plenty of free weights and everything is new and clean. My only complaint is that the location of the apartment is not particularly close to good night life.

Pretty Good

I don't love this building because the neighborhood is really still a lot of parking lots, but Camden does most things right. Minor gripes are that the trash collection wakes me up every day since it picks up in the front of the building right below my window, and my bathroom sink water pressure is terrible and apparently not fixable. The building is fairly social and management is usually on the ball. The concierges are fantastic.

Location...

It's an absolutely gorgeous apartment-- Construction is unfortunately pretty loud right now, but that will change soon I believe. The location is a little iffy--not a great, safe area, and if you work farther away the commute can be absolutely hellish. Additionally, no good bars or restaurants nearby which totally spikes the transportation budget for a young adult.

NoMa Reviews

I don't venture too far outside of the few blocks of NoMa because outside of the neighborhood isn't as safe. However, the city has done a lot to revamp the area in the past few years, so there are new restaurants and bars opening up. I also live right across the street from the metro, which makes the rest of the city much more accessible.
NoMa is approximately a 35 minute commute to GWU. However, my roommate works on the hill which is less than 10 minutes away. There is a Harris Teeter connected to the building so you don't even have to go outside in order to shop for groceries. The area is still up and coming, so some of the surrounding streets don't seem very safe. However, it is getting better each and every day and it is easy to avoid those streets.
It's an up and coming neighborhood though I live in the very nice part of it. It's rough across North Capitol, but there's nothing over there to go to so I never run into any issues. There's a big dog park as well as plenty to do and eat at Union Market.
Neighborhood is okay. Everything is walkable. Bars/restaurants/grocery stores are super close by. Parking is usually available. Super safe (just don't go near the NY Ave Wendys after dark)
NoMa is up and coming - there are not too many places to eat/socialize in the evenings but the neighborhood is close enough to H Street that you don't feel too stranded.
It's growing like crazy but seriously lacks on the dining/nightlife portion. I like the geography and with the REI opening I'm hoping the nightlife will shift as well.
Fairly safe, though I wouldn't roam around a lot at night. It's certainly a transitioning neighborhood. Lots of people with dogs, big and small.
Noma is a cool area with young professionals mainly and has a lot of food/bar options! It's about 30 min from campus via metro, 20 min driving, (don't walk to campus). The apartment itself is super safe, as is the immediately surrounding area. But it isn't safe to walk west of the area or too far north either.
