Great building

Great for those working in Virginia. Cheapest of the luxury courthouse apartments. Key bridge traffic is a nightmare though.

Little More Bang for your Buck

Courtland Towers is pretty good. Never had any problems with management. Nice appliances (range, top loading LG washer). Countertops are a weak point- older and white. Pretty spacious. Mine is like 770 square feet. Parking is extra. 100 dollars for a tandem spot (parking back to back with only one exit), 75 for 1 spot. No pets. Really close to the metro, about .4 miles I believe. Less than a 10 minute walk and 2 stops away from foggy bottom. Les than a 10 minute drive to the hospital without traffic. Nice pool, nice gym, nice community center if you ever want to have a little party. Very safe- literally two blocks from the Arlington courthouse. Other than being a little pricey (but still cheaper than foggy), I'd recommend. Very close to Clarendon bars. However, people here don't seem to really interact.

Great place but expensive

It's an awesome building. Only complaint is how much I pay.

Affordable, international style living

Courtland Towers is affordable for the area, and you can get to most places with a short walk. Metro is close. The gym is pretty good.
The problem are the other tenants. Hooka smoke all over the place, and English is hardly spoken in the building. The pool is awesome during the summer, which brings out the Arlington style crowd. Parking is reasonable and reserved. The elevators were recently updated, and the lobby is usually clean. The package service leaves a little to be desired. The store is convenient, but a complete ripoff in terms of prices.
You could do worse, but if your looking for neighbors you might actually talk to (in English), this isn't your place.

You get what you pay for

Courtland Towers has an excellent pool, nice enough gym, is safe and clean. Most importantly it is situated in a wonderful neighborhood only two blocks from the metro. The downsides are the cost, this is not a cheap building. The management can be a bit prickly at times. However, overall I've found them more responsive than most building management companies.

Beautiful views

I have lived in this building for several years and love the location. The metro is a block away and a straight shot into DC. The location provides access to a variety of restaurants and bars within walking distance, making it a great place to get coffee, drinks, or food with friends or family.

Location and Amenities are Great

CT has been a great home for the past three years. While the apartment itself may seem outdated for some, it has always been fully functional in my books. The location is terrific, as it is fairly quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Clarendon, yet it is close enough that I can venture to bars and stores if needed. The amenities in the building are also hard to beat, with two racquetball courts and a large gym.

Our apartment is 720 sq feet one bedroom. It's well maintained and the appliances are decent. They're not stainless steel, but they're on the newer side. Our management is responsive and quick with maintenance. We have an indoor and outdoor pool, extensive gym and ping pong tables and billard tables.

Getting around Clarendon

Clarendon Reviews

Very safe and quiet. There are some good restaurants close by and it’s a quick walk to Clarendon for more dining options.
Safe, clean, and plenty to do. DC proper is very accessible.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my neighborhood. I'm between dupont and u street, so it's not in the middle of it all, which I appreciate. I'm literally 2 blocks from 14th street where all the great restaurants/bars are. I'm also 5-7 mins walking distance to multiple grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway). It's quiet enough to feel like I'm not in a city, but i'm steps away from being reminded that I am.
Courthouse (located right between Rosslyn and Clarendon), is a very convenient area, with lots of shopping, grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants. The metro station is in the center of the neighborhood and leads right to downtown DC, and the area feels very safe, including at night.
This is a very good neighborhood with an easy commute to McLean. It's a very walkable area with Trader Joes and Whole Foods nearby and many other shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a dog park as well as a park (Rocky Run) that has basketball courts and a turf field.
A nice place with plenty of night life, restaurants, and things to do. Pretty safe and upscale. A little cheaper than living in Foggy Bottom but were it not for my wife's work, I might opt to be closer to GW. The commute isnt bad though, 15 or 20 mins by metro.
Average neighborhood, food scene is unexceptional. If the law school wasn't right here I wouldn't be living here. Tons of crowds and people not taking masks / social distancing / pandemic in general serious and going to bars and clubs.
DC people are snooty about those living in Clarendon, but I love it! You get out of the city to a safe, walk-able area with high-end shops and restaurants steps from home. Metro and bus access is fantastic! I don't need a car!
