Courtland Towers

Courtland Towers is a great apartment complex with tons of amenities that I don't think I could find anywhere else. The apartment has a balcony from which you can see the Washington Monument and Capital building. The floor plan is spacious with a ton of counter space in the kitchen. It has in unit washer and dryer, and dishwasher, and gas stove. Each room has its own bathroom and huge closets.

Definitely a good spot

It’s a little on the pricier side, but it’s a great building. The staff is friendly & helpful, the apartments are recently renovated, have nice thick walls so you can’t hear your neighbors, & everything is well maintained, and the amenities are great. The residents are a nice mix of families and young professional types. Close to the orange & silver metro lines, and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Personally, I’ve got issues with noise so I’m willing to pay for thicker walls and a quiet neighborhood, & if that’s something you need too this is a good place to consider.

Courtland Towers is great

I have really liked living here. Everyone is very friendly and it is a pretty quiet place. It’s an 8 minute walk to the metro, very nice gym and other amenities. Maintenance responds to work orders quickly.

Courtland Towers Review

I have absolutely loved my time living here. There are lots of study spaces I can utilize as a student and having a gym, pool, and entertainment center accessible to me without an amenity fee has been so valuable as a student. It's metro accessible and the area is safe and family friendly.

Great

The price may be a bit expensive but the amenities are great. Huge study room that my study group always uses, a large game room, best gym I toured, indoor and outdoor pool, and updated units. Also, there is free printing.

There is some renovation noise but it is always during the day during class so it does not bother me.

It is a 5 minute drive from campus and a 3 minute walk to the courthouse metro. However, the grocery store is a bit far if you do not have a car.

Solid Apartment but family building

Overall the building is very nice. It has excellent facilities and recently redone fitness center. Rents tend to be a bit high but not terribly so. Very close to transit.

Great apt for value

The apt is huge and has great amenities for its price. It is 1 block from the metro so good location, but Clarendon is probably a bit better than Courthouse. The pools are both great amenities and they are redoing the gym, basketball, and racketball court. Downside is that it is an old apartment so it doesn't look very nice or have a fancy aesthetic. We have also had some problems with our appliances here and there but not a huge issue. Management is responsive to fixing but sometimes it takes multiple attempts at fixing for it to work. Would recommend.

Close to everything you need for very fair price

I have nothing but good things to say about Courtland Towers. The apartment has great location (3 min walk to the Court House metro station, 1 stop away from Clarendon, and 2 stops from being in DC). The place comes with great amenities as well including a indoor pool, outdoor pool, driving range, and gym. The management is also very good as well with a front desk that is manned 24/7.

Clarendon Reviews

Very safe and quiet. There are some good restaurants close by and it’s a quick walk to Clarendon for more dining options.
Safe, clean, and plenty to do. DC proper is very accessible.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my neighborhood. I'm between dupont and u street, so it's not in the middle of it all, which I appreciate. I'm literally 2 blocks from 14th street where all the great restaurants/bars are. I'm also 5-7 mins walking distance to multiple grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway). It's quiet enough to feel like I'm not in a city, but i'm steps away from being reminded that I am.
Courthouse (located right between Rosslyn and Clarendon), is a very convenient area, with lots of shopping, grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants. The metro station is in the center of the neighborhood and leads right to downtown DC, and the area feels very safe, including at night.
This is a very good neighborhood with an easy commute to McLean. It's a very walkable area with Trader Joes and Whole Foods nearby and many other shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a dog park as well as a park (Rocky Run) that has basketball courts and a turf field.
A nice place with plenty of night life, restaurants, and things to do. Pretty safe and upscale. A little cheaper than living in Foggy Bottom but were it not for my wife's work, I might opt to be closer to GW. The commute isnt bad though, 15 or 20 mins by metro.
Average neighborhood, food scene is unexceptional. If the law school wasn't right here I wouldn't be living here. Tons of crowds and people not taking masks / social distancing / pandemic in general serious and going to bars and clubs.
DC people are snooty about those living in Clarendon, but I love it! You get out of the city to a safe, walk-able area with high-end shops and restaurants steps from home. Metro and bus access is fantastic! I don't need a car!
