Avoid - will nickle and dime you on the way out - better options elsewhere

The apartment is very basic, and not in a great location. Roseland is depressing. Much better to live somewhere on the south or east side of campus that is more residential. The property is in fine condition, but the management company is very scammy. They will charge you on the way you for all sorts of nicks and dents that aren't your fault, but there's no way to prove it because they don't walk through the place with you at the outset. When you try to contest the charges, they send you to a collections agency, which will impact your credit score. Also, the windows are small, so very little natural light gets in and the furniture is brown and ugly. Don't live here.

Wouldn't Rent Again

I was desperate to find an apartment and this was what was available. I took a one bedroom, one bathroom furnished, third floor walk up. The garbage was never picked up on time, the pipes would freeze, the gym was rarely clean and the couch would fit 1.5 people, while the closet and bedroom were large enough for a cocktail party. Upon moving out, they were unresponsive when asked to find someone to sublet, and were kind enough to tack on an additional $400 bill, which when contested, were initially very responsive, then went silent until threatening to send me to collections 5 days before the end of the year. The front desk staff is nice, but that's about the only positive thing I can say for the University Edge.

Cheap with all the facilities needed

This is a great place to reside at. The only downside is that it is a long walk to school. There is a free shuttle that runs between school and University Edge which helps mitigate that downside.
