Good apartment close to campus with good amenities
Maplewood apartments are recently constructed apartments aimed at Cornell graduate students that offer amenities such as outdoor grills, a community center with a gym, private bathrooms for each bedroom, and plenty of parking.
They are a great option for first year graduate students who want an easy rental experience as they begin their academic career at Cornell.
Management can occasionally be a bit difficult and construction was a bit rushed, leading to some minor annoyances, but overall, my experience at Maplewood has been positive.

Good community close to campus
Maplewood Apartments is a good complex to live in for students who wish to walk to campus (~15-20 min walk to central campus). The apartments are clean and parking is available for $125/month. The cost per month is relatively high at ~$930/month (for annual lease), although there are many competing properties that ask the same price for subpar apartments.

Great location and good value
Maplewood Apartments is great! The location is excellent (10 minutes from south campus), no complaints about management, and the quality of housing is very good for the price. The amenities are excellent, including parking spaces, fitness room, and community center; the community center in particular has a coffee machine and is a great place to work or meet with friends to play D&D.

Nice apartments, but unfriendly management
Maplewood is nice to live in if you have a roommate and you want to walk to campus. The apartments have individual bathrooms, a dishwasher, and in-unit laundry. However, the management is very rude, they will not prorate your rent, and takes every opportunity they can to blame renters for their own disorganization.

Comfortable & close to campus
Comfortable and well run apartment facility. Very close to gates. Rooms are a bit small. Overall I'm very happy.

Great experience at Maplewood
If its within your budget, Maplewood is a great choice. Residents get their own room and bathroom, and each unit has its own laundry. Peaceful neighborhood and is about a 12 minute walk to Rhodes Hall. Only issue if you live in a townhouse is sometimes people have parties past 12am, but this is more towards the beginning of the semester.

You need to be a little lucky in this place
Overall not a bad place. But the problem is that they don't allow you to choose the specific location of your apartment. So you might get lucky and end up in a nice spot but there is also a considerable chance that you end up in a terrible place (etc. next to the garbage compactors, first floor next to the sidewalk, basement with small windows). And you pay the same price no matter the location! Also important to know is that the walls are very thin at Maplewood, so you need to be also lucky in terms of (next door, upstairs etc.) neighbors. Otherwise you will regret living here. Also parking fee is extremely high.
