Collegetown Terrace

Most residents here are students at Cornell university. There's kitchen, gym, bus to grocery stores and campus, and study rooms, so it is a safe choice in terms of living quality. The trade off is that the price is higher than some other places. There is electronic lock on every gate, so basic safety can be assured. (You should still lock your door.)
The management is responsive for most things. However, during my one month stay so far, there has already been an incident of package theft. The management team warned beforehand that they were not responsible for any stolen packages, and I am not sure if any action has been taken.
On the lease, I was told that there is a strict no pet policy, and I am not sure about service animals.

Great just a bit expensive

Great location and utilities, the apartment is relatively new and management are nice, offer shuttle bus to school, just the rent is a bit expensive (and getting more expensive)

Beware - Broken Promises

Beware - There is a concept in the contract referred to as "Bonus Money" which is meant to be given to tenants in a check after moving out if the apartment is in good condition, but they have not returned it after 4 months of moving out. I contacted them several times, but they have not shown any progress and push off the issue by making excuses such as "there is a backup pile of papers". This is concerning since there is a penalty for paying rent late and expectations of everything being prompt. There should be gradual review of sending out "bonus money" even if there is a surge of people leaving in July, OR send through a direct deposit account. It feels deceitful and a lot of people probably never receive this promise, especially if from a foreign country and not following up 3 or more times.

Great option, pricy

Nice complex with plenty of amenities (gym, shuttle, study rooms, etc.) and centrally located between the law school and downtown. Other than a couple isolated incidents, it's been very quiet and no issues with neighbors.

Cons - pricy, pressure to re-sign, expensive parking pass despite garages being half empty, no guest parking passes, shuttle is basically full all the time. Closest convenience store is ~10 min walk so that can sometimes be challenging.

Location and Transportation

The property location is between the campus and downtown, so you can access both, plus they offer a shuttle to the school on weekdays and to Wegmans on Sunday mornings.
