Good place to live

Its a good clean apartment and you get free internet and directv which is nice. The views are very good and its typically pretty quiet, even on the weekends. It also has a pool and a nice gym. We have had absolutely no problems at this apartment so far.

Great View, Great location

I live on the 32 floor and it over looks Millenium Park! I live with my room mates in a spacious 2 bedroom. We have a cat, and it's very pet friendly here. The staff is really nice and most of my classmates and friends live in this building. Great place!

Great choice, but a little loud

The apartment building service floor is new renovated and looks fantastic. Anytime I need a repair in my apartment is happens within 24 hours and I feel safe living in a well lighted and highly populated area. It is also very close to the brown line stop and within walking distance of a CVS, Target, and Mariano's. My only complaint are the "bucket boys" who place themselves at the intersection of Michigan and Randolph. Even on the 37th floor it is so loud it wakes me up on the weekends and I am unable to study in my apartment.

Great Location

I love where I am living! It's in a great location right on Michigan and across the street from Millenium Park! Also next to the Metra system which is convenient. The apartment is spacious and the management staff is great. Close to many stores! Pet friendly space!

Review

Pros: Excellent location, good value.
Cons: No in-unit washer/dryer or balcony.
We have lived here for two years, and it has been pretty good to us. Close to a Marianos and public transportation. Friendly staff for the most part. Nice gym. Good business center.

Great Location, Spacious, Pet Friendly

We've been living here for 4 months now and have had a pleasant time with the apartment building itself. I like that it is in a great location and pet friendly. It's a perfect and spacious one bedroom for my husband and our two dogs. Love it so far!

Great location, old building and poor management

I've lived in MPP for two years while attending business school.

The good: It's very conveniently located on Michigan and Randolph. Very close to the Metra, the L and buses if you need to commute to work or school. The lobby was recently renovated and there are a few shops on the ground level including Protein Bar and David's Tea.

The bad: The interior of the building, excluding the lobby, looks like it's in the 1980's. It can be pretty noisy if you face Michigan Ave, especially when the street drummers are performing. Amenities are a joke - gym is small and needs significant upgrading; the laundry room is dirty and the machines are old. Management is slow to respond to complaints and suggestions to improve the facilities. For example, the security card to enter the building is cumbersome to use and doesn't work well. I also complained several times about heating issues in my apt before it was addressed.

Great location at a reasonable price

Unbeatable location, close to Millennium Park, L Train, offices, bars, restaurants....

Price is OK. Amenities are way below average (gym doesn't have dumbbells due to 'liability issues', for example). Construction has been going on for at least 3 years.

Management could be better. Internal processes and policies are confuse and loose.

The Loop Reviews

Very secure and tranquil. Very close to public transportations. Namely millennium station which I use to ride the Metra trains to campus.
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
Amazing place to have a social life! It is super close to Gleacher and to where recruiting events take place. Most Boothies live in this area and that helps creating a nice community. West loop with amazing restaurants is 2 metro stops/5min uber. TNDCs also happen walking distance. Its also where most touristic attractions are so its great for when friends/family visit you.
Safe neighborhood and good because it’s where most Booth students live but it’s a little sterile esp at night. Lots of tourists around. I would not live in this neighborhood if most other students didnt live here. However it is convenient to get to most places around chicago. In the middle of everything
Columbus plaza is on the quieter side, a few blocks away from Michigan. Tides and park millennium are even quieter but lack the river views that CP offers. It can be a bit too empty at night, which may be of concern to some. Most of the nearby restaurants in the pedway focus on serving office workers so they close around 6pm. Great access to river walk for running or biking.
The Loop has pros and cons. Living in the Loop is nice because during the day up until about 8 p.m. there are people walking around the streets which is nice because you feel more secure walking. However, on weekends and after a certain time at night it empties and it can be a little eerie.

That being said, if you're anywhere near State St. or the Mag mile, there's pretty much people around at any given hour. It's fun to live downtown because the streets are bustling with interesting people, sometimes there's live music on street corners and there are a lot of restaurants and shops.
Beautiful area in a great location with a dog park, playground, and full service grocery store in short walking distance. Restaurants and transit are just ok in this area, but not a bad walk to the "L" and that opens up the restaurant options. No close-by childcare for kids under preschool age, but great preschool and private elementary school, with high price tags. Ubers often find this place impossible to locate due to GPS's going crazy with the multiple layers of Wacker, Randolph, Columbus, and East South Water Street.
The Loop is an unlikely place to live but I love it. You are in the heart of the city, close to every L line possible, very good restaurants and walking distance to River North without paying River North prices for apartments. Apartments are smaller throughout the neighborhood but if you are an urbanite and don't mind limited closet space you will love it here. Mostly everyone is walking distance to work.
Great location close to blue, brown, green, pink, orange and red lines. 10 minute walk to State St., 5-10 minutes to River North, 15 minutes to Michigan Avenue. Grocery stores aren't really walkable but most people in the building use PeaPod/Instacart. Safe to walk around at night. A lot of new restaurants (quick service) opening in the area.
