alright place

This building is packed with spoiled grad students living off of mommy and daddy, so be prepared for a lot of squealing, scream, door slams, and general immaturity from the majority of the tenants. The building is in a great location; you're within walking distance to the loop, restaurants, shops, and public transit (red line and most buses). CVS, Walgreens, Starbucks, and Treasure Island are all right across the street. Nice perk is that a dry cleaning service is in the building and also signs for all your packages - although they're not open on Sunday, close early on Saturday, and are closed by 7ish on weekdays. Building also has an outgoing mail system. You can pay rent online, although there's a small processing fee. If you get locked out, the doorman will always be there to let you in to your apt, but they'll charge $25. Guest parking for just 1 night is $25, which is unnecessary. I don't see the need to pay for parking when you already live here and there's open guests spots available if people come to see you. The gym isn't great, but has what most people need for a solid workout. The washer/dryers are coin operated, but there's a cash/coin exchange dispenser in the laundry room. Although it would be nice to have cards to just reload and charge, considering the rent they charge. The pool is small, shallow, and gets partial sunlight at certain times of the day. There's no BBQ's on the roof if that's your thing at all. Management company does have get togethers with all the buildings that PPM owns, so if you'd like to get to know your neighbors, that option is there once every season or so. There's no garbage disposal - again, for the amount paid to live here, really? Be prepared to clean the apt yourself when you move in - idk if PPM uses their custodial staff or hires an outside cleaning service, but they did a horrible job. The doormen hired at least in this building are not the brightest tools in the shed. My sister has waltzed in multiple times without being asked who she's here to see. Would feel more comfortable if they had a preferred guest list. When they say Utilities are included, it's pretty much a lie. You still pay for Cable/Wifi, Heat, A/C, Trash, Water, and Electric - which will you bring you to an extra $100+/month. Trash shoot on every floor is a nice amenity, except you inexplicably have to bring down your recycling to the basement. Bathrooms don't have a fan, which again, makes no sense to me. You're alotted a small amount of storage space on a separate floor. No dogs allowed, and the ceilings are not high at all.

Awesome place, but pricey

I absolutely LOVED this place. Management is on top of things (unlike any other place in the city I have rented from). The residents are all friendly and respectable of the common areas. My neighbors were not noisy. The views of the city are spectacular & the pool is a great amenity in the summer. Unfortunately it is a bit pricey because of the location and pool but if you can afford it I wouldn't hesitate to rent.

Perfect location

This apartment building couldn't be in a better location. And for a fair price, my unit is quite spacious - it's actually a duplex with a kitchen, eatery, living room and half bath on the 5th floor and two bedrooms and a full bath on the 6th floor. There are only about 20 of the duplex style units in the building, and they are always rented, for good reason.

Good neighborhood

Apartment is in an excellent neighborhood. The management company office is in the same building. I've never had any problems living here for a couple of years but the rent keeps increasing with additional utility charges. There is a temp parking on this building for your guests. Doorman is nice along with ok swimming pool.

Great Neighborhood...Amazing View!!

I have been in this apartment for the last 4 years. The building managers are great. They are very nice and helpful. The neighborhood is awesome with many bars, coffeeshops, restaurants, grocery stores in walking distance. Close to the Red Line and many buses. Love it here!!!
