Safety
There were some safety issues where there were a string of armed robberies in the fall, but Belmont has upped security measures a lot and there has been none since. Otherwise, it's a very easy walk to the hospital and the most affordable within the walking distance especially if you want 2 bedroom 2 bath apartments (I can speak less on single bed/bath places). They upgraded the gym so it is very nice and convenient.

Property is beautiful but recent incidences are worrisome
The apartment complex is good, the surroundings are good and quiet most of the times but the recent robbery incidences have made the place quite disturbing to the residents.

Research well before choosing Belmont
It's a good experience except for a month where seven robberies happened. We felt quite unsafe those days especially international students. So research well, before choosing any apartment. Safety comes first.

Unsafe!
4 robberies in 2 weeks. Don’t stay there unless they’ve amped up security and put up electric fencing around the property

Overall good place with safety concerns
At September and October 2018, there were several break-in issues happened in the community. Fortunately, their attitudes and actions after the robbery are overall satisfactory, which makes Belmont still an okay place to live.
Other dimensions of the apartments are fine.

Close to campus, recent safety issues concerning
My roommate and I moved to the Belmont in order to be closer to the hospital during second year. However, there have recently been several armed robberies within the Belmont community. It seemed like the management was slow to take measures to increase security. We also heard a description of one of the incidents from a classmate that was very different from the information sent out by management. They have since added security guards and reinforced the doors but it still does not feel safe.

Appropriate for the Price
I am happy with my place for the price that I pay. On the up side, there is great light/windows, the management is responsive to any issue and usually comes within the day or the next day to deal with maintenence requests. The pool and gym are are quite nice. (However on some summer Saturdays the pool is taken over by frat bros, but I guess this is a college town.) There is a starbucks coffee machine in the club house. There is also a package locker system where deliveries are stored until you can pick them up--keeps anything you order very secure. However, it should be noted that these apartments are cheaply constructed. The cabinets are made with particle board (which are prone to water damage), the "wood" floors are actually plastic laminate material made to look like wood, and the countertops are a cheap kind of formica or something that takes up stains very quickly (will stain after having a cup of coffee or glass of wine on it for a few minutes). I will also admit that I moved into a place that had not been turned over for three years (I took over the lease of someone who was graduating and roommate was staying on), and for that reason my place was in bad shape when I arrived and needed a lot of cleaning. Perhaps the places that you rent new are nicer or cleaner.

The Belmont
We have had a decent experience at the Belmont. There is a nice jogging trail in the back around a lake, a comfortable lounge, workout room and pool. The apartments are a little older and need some maintenance, but the maintenance workers do a good job at responding to requests. There have been some recent break-ins at the apartment complex, but we currently have increased security around the complex.
