The management at Belmont is terrible. They are disrespectful and if you allow it, they are going to make you feel that they are doing a favor to you, even though you are paying for their service. They don't solve things, unless you are very energetic. My apartment is not bad, but definitely is an overpriced apartment, specially because of the common areas, the problems that I have (i cannot cook in an airfryer, the heater fails, the garbage disposal gets clogged every two months), and specially because of the security problems (the neighborhood is not nice).

Clean, spacious, and really close to campus. I love the outside area (big pond to walk around, trees, grass, etc.). It's super nice to step away from work for a quick 15-minute walk throughout the day.

Management is super super responsive (usually takes care of maintenance requests the same day) which is awesome.

The Belmont has been around for a while. If you are looking for a modern apartment with great appliances, this is not the place for you. That being said, this is my second year living here and I love it for its proximity to the law school. The Duke bus stops right outside the Belmont and makes my commute very convenient. The rent is also very cheap compared to other apartments in Durham.

The Belmont Apartments is close to school and affordable. The apartments are spacious. However, there are cockroaches in constantly in the apartments, to the point where we found them in the toaster, shoes, closet, sink…
Only basic support from the landlord on the issue which resolved nothing.
If you want to live in Belmont pick apartments on the second and third floor.

The Apartment is spacious for living and the storage space in the apartment is good. The property has security and a key card which makes it very secure. It has close access to the bus stops which makes it easier to travel to campus and it is also a 20 min walk away from the Fuqua campus which makes commute as a student great!

Overall, the apartments are relatively better in terms of layout than some other apartments nearby; good maintenance and support team; scenic views and trail around the Belmont lake; good for MMS and MQM students as most of them tend to stay in this neighbourhood in the past few years; bus stop right outside the gate which drops you at Fuqua; gated community; good gym and swimming pool!

Good property and apartments

What I like best about the Belmont is the surroundings. Within the estate there are many trees, and even a lake. It's gorgeous. It's also pretty quiet and I loved that it was about a 25 - 30 min walk to Fuqua.

Great place, just a bit away from downtown, but close to bus stops and just a short bus ride away from fuqua
