Lovely building

Very wonderful building. Great staff, close to school, great gym, great view. Honestly it is a dream to live here. It is expensive so I share with my sister and that brings us down to paying about 1600$ each per month to share about 700 square feet which is plenty for us but depends if you would want more space.

Lovely building

I love living here and the staff and amenities are great. It is expensive for students so usually better if you can share the rent with someone.

Great apartment

I love my building. Great views, fantastic appliances in the kitchen, gym is fantastic which was important to me. Only downside is the steep rent.

Lovely building, well managed and great facilities but expensive

The building is new and well managed. The staff are nice. The gym is great. There are a lot of people you can pet or babysit for. There is a pool in the summer. It is lovely but the cost is quite high.

Great building, awful management

The amenities are better than any other building I have ever rented in. The management is so awful. They never budge with you on anything and stick to their process. They hid construction, eliminated dog parks, increased rent (just to decrease it online)

Most Amazing Apartment I've Ever Rented

I recently moved from New York (so my standards are skewed a little), but this apartment has exceeded everything! I knocked it down a point because sometimes the elevators can be slow. The gym, the pool, the view and the actual apartment are gorgeous and very well maintained. Management is very responsive and the doormen are friendly and kind. It's a dream!

500 North Lake Shore Drive is the BEST place to live

500 North Lake Shore Drive has outstanding door service, amazing amenities, and immaculate grounds. The pool and hot tub are always in perfect condition, as is the rest of the building. The doormen are not only friendly, but also extremely helpful. You absolutely cannot hear your neighbors like in most apartment buildings.

LOVE this building.

Love it

I am one of those people who likes to always keep an eye out for other apartment buildings in the area just in case something better comes along. I want to keep my options open. BUT I must say that doing so has only re-affirmed my decision to stay at 500 Lake Shore Drive. The staff is amazing and it's pretty much the most dog-friendly building you could ever imagine. If you are a dog owner or just a dog lover it is impossible to have a bad day here bc the dogs just light up the building with personality. I can't see myself being able to leave this place for a while. We have lived here 2+ years now and intend to stay here for at least several more years.

Streeterville Reviews

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.
I enjoy living in Streeterville since it's near many of Chicago attractions without feeling overwhelming like in the Loop. I am able to walk around safely at night and I like going jogging in Millennium Park. My biggest complaint would be the lack of greenery in the area and how the city can feel a little bit insulating at times. Public transportation is great. This area is pricey, which is why I decided to have a roommate.
The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. Its become a great place for professionals who enjoy living downtown, but without the club crowds in River North.
There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.
While on the expensive end in Chicago, streeterville is safe, has all the necessities (look for apts near grocery stores if you don't have a car!!), is super close to school (and most feinberg students so convenient for socializing), and is super close proximity to restaurants and bars.
This building is located in the center of everything you could possibly need. Whole foods and Jewel within walking distance, easy to get to the lake front, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The only down side is that it does not really have a "neighborhoody" feel.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
