If you like secondhand drugs, bugs & mold & an unprofessional property manager
This apartment complex is one of the highest rentals in the Long Beach area because they use RealPage. The area is nice. The apartments would be decent if they would clean up the drug infestation on the property and hire a new property manager who is professional and understands Fair Housing laws. Our apartment is full of drugs seeping through the vents by tenants who are violating their lease daily. This property advertises itself as drug free which is a huge lie. If you don’t like inhaling another tenants meth and secondhand marijuana seeping through the vents, etc. avoid this apartment complex. The property manager is unprofessional, lies to cover her own butt and won’t help you. We have also had a bug, mold and mosquito infestation in which we had to contact Code Enforcement due to an unresponsive property manager. This is the worst experience ever. Hopefully the owners can clean up their property by hiring a new manager who respects paying tenants.
Whetstone Review
Decent Apartment
Whetstone is an excellent choice
Management has always been super responsive whenever we've had maintenance requests, it's within walking distance of downtown, and has all of the amenities you would hope for. The only downsides are that the gym is very small and it is close to a major bus stop that can be sketchy at night.
Beckon Review
Building is great overall. Great location in that it's walking distance from lots of bars and restaurants (like the actually cool ones) and it's also like a 10 minute drive to the Science Drive Garage. It also has a pool and a very nice gym. The parking situation is very good because it has an internal garage. The unit also has really big closets which is awesome. Downsides are that it's slightly overpriced and the management is slightly incompetent (but you can get maintenance to happen pretty quickly if you're not averse to conflict).

Great Place 20 Minute Bike Commute to Campus
Rowan Review
I have been living at Rowan Apartments for two years now and have had a great experience. The location is ideal, just a 7-minute drive away, and the atmosphere is vibrant and inspiring, with a strong community of young, successful Black professionals, including medical, dental, and law students, as well as engineers.
What I appreciate most about the building is the abundance of study spaces—there are three dedicated study rooms and numerous desk areas, all accessible 24/7. Management is kind. I plan to continue living here throughout my time at Howard Med.

Brand new apartment; right on bus route; great price
Alexan Riverside is great if you're looking for good value and to avoid parking on campus. There is a bus stop right outside the apartment, and it only takes about 20 - 25 minutes to get to campus. Our apartment unit is brand new and has never been lived in. Management is very responsive. There was a month period where the gate was broken and a few cars got broken into. However, once they got the gate fixed, we haven't heard of any issues. It's not super close to the food/bar scenes of Austin, so if that is a high priority for you, I'd look elsewhere.
Great amenities/location, terrible maintenance
Location and amenities are nice. Maintenance is terrible, and common spaces are dirty. Some apartments have roaches.
Quiet and clean
Quiet neighborhood that also has tons of community events if you want to get involved. Expensive, but lots of amenities and the units are very nice and spacious.
The Clark Review
Love it here!
Not the best place to live
A nice looking apartment with a lot of amenities, however not a great place for couples and not a great place to study. It’s very loud in the “study” areas and people walk in and out the building all the time without concierge stopping them. For the price I don’t think it’s worth it. But location to the school is perfect
Great apartment, amazing neighborhood and lovely community
We have really loved our stay there, it has everything we were looking for: parks, pilates, family vibes, a good gym, a bus stop a couple of blocks away, and walkable.
Union on San Antonio Review
Little noisy but expected because it's west campus
