Spanishtown is well-known for its inclusiveness and friendliness. Additionally, with close proximity to downtown, a lake, the capitol, and the river, there are plenty of sights to see around the area. It is 10mins from LSU campus, so having a car is recommended.

My complex is on the edge of Spanish Town, a few blocks from the capitol complex and downtown Baton Rouge. I often go for either long or short walks that are really enjoyable. Both the capitol park and Veteran’s park, which is just behind my complex, are lovely and provide plenty of walking paths and benches for enjoying the view. Spanish town is quaint and charming. The locals are friendly and usually speak to me when I pass by. It’s an easy walk to the river and to downtown, where there are museums, restaurants, etc. There is a small, neighborhood store two blocks from my apartment, and a Matherne’s market about four or five blocks away. I am one block from the I-110 access ramp and ten minutes from LSU.

Great neighborhood. Complex is on the edge of Spanish Town. Only a few blocks to the state capitol, Veteran's Park, downtown Baton Rouge, the river. Easy walking to any of these locations. Nice park with a lake (really more of a pond) just behind the complex. Complex entrance is from the I-110 access road only.
