Duke reviews and highlights
- extremely affordable rent with heat included
- older building and not renovated
- well-maintained and maintenance responds to requests quickly
Comfortable, Affordable, not luxury
Management company is pretty responsive to complaints. Location is 17 minute walk up/down murray hill. Kitchen has updated appliances. Heat is via a radiator (don't have to pay for it but also have minimal control of it). Nice living room. Safe area. Close to places to hang out/have fun. Big closets

Duke Review
The apartment is spacious, cheap, and close to Coventry. Many of my classmates live within a few minutes of the apartment, which makes socializing easy. There are sidewalks in the streets near the apartment, which makes running very easy.

Duke apartments
The apartment has been great! The building is a little old and not renovated, but otherwise, the maintenance has been flawless. They're extremely quick to respond to any concerns, and they pay heat, which is great! Rent is super cheap and it's located conveniently close to school, Coventry, and the Cedar/Fairmount area.

Solid, typical apartment for Cleveland Heights
Pros: large living and dining room, remodeled kitchen (some units), high ceilings, large windows, heat included
Cons: OLD, small bedrooms, old bathroom appliances/fixtures, creaky floors
Overall, splitting the rent and utilities 3 ways makes this apartment extremely affordable. I pay just over $400 in rent and about $50 in utilities. The tradeoff is that the building itself was built in 1920, so it has 96-year-old building issues. For the most part, the apartments are maintained well and maintenance responds to requests fairly quickly. The only problem we had moving in was that a toilet hadn't been fixed since the last tenants moved out and had caused water damage in the bathroom.
It is about a 25 minute walk to school for us and we walk to class most mornings. It may be beneficial to have a parking permit when the weather gets bad, as sidewalks get very icy/snowy in Cleveland Heights and are not plowed/shoveled. The area is very safe and a lot of medical students live in the building and in buildings up and down the block.
