Ovation

Life at Ovation
Ovation is a great option. Its expensive but worth it. Right off state street which has a lot of pubs, nightlife and restaurants, it was a great fit for the lifestyle I was seeking at the time. You can get parking for additional 200 bucks but a day's parking only costs 10 bucks for residents. There is a gym, sauna, grill, ping pong table and an awesome coffee machine! The unobstructed city, lake and capitol views from the top (13th floor) are breathtaking! In case you opt for a lease of less than 12 months in your second year, you might end up paying an additional 250 bucks per month. The occupancy here is over 99% all the time and it is not easy to get an apartment. The crowd is mixed with older folks, professionals, graduate students and a few undergrads.

Ovation 309
Ovation is great, it's very nice and seems to be one of the quieter buildings. Floor to ceiling windows, newer appliances, good management, great location near the capitol, safe, walkable to restaurants, bars and class. And the roof has the best views in Madison!

Ovation 309 Review
Ovation is truly one of the nicest apartment buildings in Madison. The location is perfect, the amenities are top notch, and management is extremely accommodating. If you're willing to pay the higher rents found at Ovation, it is a really wonderful living experience.

Best capitol area living
I love living at Ovation 309. As an MBA, I am a short walk to Grainger, have easy access to State Street (without living in the noise of State St.), and a large portion of my classmates live next to me. The staff is responsive, courteous, and all around great people. I love the added layer of security of a concierge desk who will call to ask if it is ok to let guests up the elevator. Being a bit further away from campus, and being one of the more expensive options, the building is mostly graduate students, young professionals, and middle aged folks, so the noisy undergraduate lifestyle is mostly absent when needing to study at night. If it fits the budget, I highly recommend Ovation to MBA students.

Fantastic Place to Live!
I absolutely love living at the Ovation. My apartment has a lot of space and all of the appliances are new. The building itself is great and includes a gym, sauna, veranda (with grills), and a sky deck (top floor community space). The management team also hosts events/happy hours for residents around once a month. Residents are respectful and management is very responsive. You can also pay extra for an indoor parking space; I’ve had a parking space during my MBA program, but ovation is located about 10 min walking distance from the Business School and is right by several bus stops. You do have to pay for many of your utilities (water, gas, electricity, internet, etc) but this apartment is really worth the price! Finally, safety is a key plus here. There is a someone at the front desk 24/7, front doors are locked after a certain time and only those with a key fob can get in, a key fob is also needed to access the elevator. Overall, Ovation is a great place to live!
