great location and amenities

great location, doormen, gym. only thing I would fix is elevators are slow and building management can be a bit strict. my apartment is kind of small, but i got a pretty good deal given the amenities and price so I'm pretty happy

Parc is the best

I love living in this building - I feel safe and secure, and the location and amenities are the best. I enjoy the restaurants nearby, plus the gym and pool I only wish that the hot tub was open longer into the fall season! Also, the door-people/staff are incredibly helpful.

Parc Rittenhouse

As I write this review, I sit in my Parc Rittenhouse studio wrapped in my pink polka dot robe like a human burrito because management insists its appropriate to blast the AC on a cold April day. For the record, the burrito life ain't a bad life. Although, the inability to control the AC and heat system in my unit is truly my only complaint.

Management has been great, any issue that arises is handled immediately. The door men do a great job at keeping the building secure and don't let anyone in that doesn't live in the building. The pool is beautiful during the summer months. The gym is pumpkin spice latte basic. The other tenants are great, especially the four legged ones. Lastly, the building is perfectly located right on the square and surrounded by great restaurants/bars. Overall, my experience has been great!

Great location and facilities

Great place to be, excellent staff and the gym/meeting room is excellent.

I found some of the rooms to be a bit old so check them out first. Also it is a much more owner occupier style place so you can't make noise or have loud parties.

Very safe, the doormen don't let anyone they don't know in.

Parc Rittenhouse is great

I've loved living in my studio at the Parc Rittenhouse. The building is relatively more expensive than many, but it is safe, very well-located and the doormen are lovely. One downside is each unit is different. some are much nicer than others.

Find a brownstone

Brownstones are a far better value and the benefits of living in a managed building are way oversold. The management of Parc is great once you're in but they make moving a painful ordeal. Everything bad you've heard about Allan Domb management is actually true - which is crazy because people say a LOT of bad things about them. "Courtyard view" apartments in Parc get NO sunlight. Those facing Chancellor street get more light but are super loud. Otherwise the building is great!

Solid building

Solid building, great location across from Rittenhouse Square park. Building is a little old so slight issues with temperature control in the winter and occasional sound issues from neighbors but manageable issues. Gym good; pool excellent; building staff is good. Recommend it.

Nice building overall, but not great value

There are definitely some issues I did not expect for a luxury high rise. 1) Management refuses to turn on the heat until the last possible moment. 2) Front doors to the apartments are very thin, you can hear everything going on in the hallways (dogs barking, people talking). 3) Windows are not soundproof. Apartments facing Chancellor street can hear delivery trucks at from 6am-8am every morning. 4) Some apartments receive very little light. 5) Conference room is only available for rent, locked at all other times. 6) Mandatory $30 fee for cable each month, not included in rent. Must use Comcast.

The good. 1) Doormen and management company (not Allan Domb, they suck) are incredibly nice. 2) Closets are large. 3) Bathrooms are large. 4) Common areas are clean. 5) Beautiful roof/pool deck, but only open during the summer.

Great amenities, friendly staff, quiet, could use a bit more sunlight

This has been a nice quiet place to live, gym and lounge is nice, in a convenient part of town though a bit far from school. Only downside is could use a bit more sunlight bc I face the courtyard.

Walnut street is very safe - there's always people around and it's well lit. The neighborhood includes all of the fun aspects of living in Philadelphia - tons of access to food and bars, nearby grocery stores/markets, access to the parks and the Schuylkill River Trail
Very close to fun restaurants/bars/shops. Close to the subway as well as the train station (suburban station).
Rittenhouse is the safest part of Philly. It's a very "happening" part of town—lots of restaurants and bars on every street. At the same time, it's right next to more residential neighborhoods to walk around in and explore. It's a great place to live relatively close to the law school but with a degree of separation so as not to get trapped in the law school bubble.
The neighborhood is both quiet and lively. There is so much around, but I have never had an issue sleeping or studying because there is too much noise. The broad street line is a 10-15 minute walk away and we are close to shopping, food, the park, and the river trail. Has everything within a 10-15 walk.
This neighborhood has everything I need within walking distance. Shops, grocery stores, parks, the subway and trolley, post office. You name it. It's very safe and extremely quiet, which helps when I'm trying to study. The Rittenhouse Square area is really the best place to live in Philly if you don't mind paying a little more.
I love this neighborhood and knew I wanted to live here when beginning my apartment search. The park is one of my favorite places in the city, and I love being able to easily access all the restaurants and shopping nearby. It's also an easy (~20 minute) walk to Penn Law, and the walking commute has always been a nice and peaceful part of my day.

Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
Love the neighborhood, Rittenhouse Square is beautiful and we are so close to the more commercial areas like Walnut Street while not being in the center of the craziness. Plus we are within walking distance of public transportation including 10 minutes from the 15/16 street PATCO station. I personally think it is one of the best areas of Philly to live in.
Rittenhouse Square has a park in the center surrounded by a bookstores, restaurants, and a public library. It is open to pets and often has open art / food markets on the weekends. It is close to the Broad Street Line and PATCO. There are many families who live in the area. It is affordable compared to other major cities (NYC, DC, Boston), but there are certainly more affordable areas in Philadelphia, simply without the luxury of being so close to Center City.
