Forest Plaza
The building is one of the most conveniently located and fully inclusive apartments available for those who want to live alone or have families. The building is older but well-maintained and very spacious. With age comes charm and each apartment has its own unique quality.

Stay Out of Forest Plaza
After living here for two year, I can say that there are few places in Ann Arbor that are worse. The building has not been updated since the 1920s when it was built. There are two washers and two dryers for 60 units. The power surges are not only a fire risk, they shut down the power and blow out light bulbs frequently. Worst of all is Campus Management, the management company. Not only are the incompetent, they are extremely rude. Apartments are frequently entered without warning or proper approval. MBAs need to stop living here. Any other building would be better.

Great location, filled with MBAs, absent management, old building
I loved Forest Plaza and lived there both years of my MBA. It is full of studios and one-bedrooms and is more expensive than other options. The benefit of this is that you are with generally quiet graduate students. Plenty of other Ross students to see and hang out with, but you have your own space and apartments are quite spacious. The pipes can be loud, so ask about that. Upper floors tend to have less of an issue. There have been some leaking issue, so ask about that. Do not expect management to help with anything, they will only nag you. That said, maintenance is super friendly, efficient, and helpful.

Forest Plaza corner 1st floor apt
AMAZING community, living with so many other MBAs. Also being so close to school is amazinggggg. I come home all the time for lunch or naps or to change before interviews, corporate presentations, etc. The apartment is one of the nicer apartments I've seen close to campus (close to Ross). The layout is spacious and the appliances are new. Small kitchen, tho. Lots of closet space. No separate storage locker or anything. The building is old (like many in ann arbor), so the little idiosyncrasies of old apartment buildings (noisy furnaces, etc.) are present. Walls a tiny bit too thin, but a fan takes care of talking neighbors when trying to sleep. Campus Management (our facilities mgmt company) is really good with maintenance of the apartments when you request it. Campus Mgmt is horrendously rude/ incompetent about almost everything else. Laundry is coin-op ($1.50 per load per machine), on 1st floor.

Older building, but convenient location
Forest Plaza is an older building, but very close to Ross and good environment

Quiet and cozy studio
The building is old and has some issues with the water system. But I love the location and the fact that so many graduate students live here. My room is also very quiet (and dark) since the building sits far back from the street. However, most taxis or delivery drivers can't ever find the place so I have to walk out to the street to be picked up. The closet space is also pretty good and my kitchen is huge and relatively updated (although I know that my unit has a much better kitchen than other units). Overall, I'm happy I lived here for both years of graduate school and would live here again!

Forest Plaza -- Great Location, Historic Charm
Forest Plaza is a really nice and unique apartment building built in the 1930's I believe. What makes it unique is that it is set back from the road and between the building and the road is a forested park-like space (hence the name, I'd guess). It's an incredibly convenient walk to Ross (6-minutes with coffee in hand). The apartments are nicely laid out. It is an older building so there is some maintenance that has to occur more frequently than in a new-build. For myself, I'd trade the flawless plumbing for the charm of the place. It's not perfect, it's an older building, but it felt like home from day one for me.
One important note: You cannot have pets here. The only big bummer for me.

Forest Plaza Review
A lot of MBAs live at Forest Plaza which makes it nice. It is also very close to Ross and convenient to South U bars and restaurants. Building is old and management isn't the greatest, but it's a good deal for the part of town you are in and the convinces there.
