Good for Space and Convenience

For space and convenience to Ross, you can't beat Forest Plaza. The apartment layouts are huge and it is only two minutes from Ross. The building is also made up of a lot of Ross students, so there is a good community if you choose to get to know everyone (it is a quiet building overall however so you have to take the initiative on this).

It is an old building so compared to many other options in town, it is outdated (though they are updating units individually) and things often go wrong (this year for example we didn't have heat for 10 days and the elevator was broken for multiple months). Management does eventually get to all issues, but they do not move quickly which is frustrating. There are also only two laundry units for the entire building which can also be annoying.

That said, despite these issues, I plan to stay in the building for another year and recommend it for anyone looking for space and convenience.

Close to Ross at a fair price

Three blocks from Ross, building is mostly MBAs, studio has a lot of space. It's an old building, and with it, repairs are often needed to things like the heating system and water system, but they are usually fixed fairly quickly. You don't get modern amenities, but when I was apt hunting in 2016 you had to pay much more $$$ to get a modern 1BR or studio. I have liked living here and would recommend to others.

Great location, horrible management

Large apartments with really convenient location to Ross and South U but horribly managed, old building. Did not have heat for a month this Fall in below freezing temperatures and management is slow to respond (if at all) to other maintenance issues.

It's okay

It's okay if you want something very close to school (4-min walking distance). However, the building is very old and you may have maintenance or heat issues.

Close to Campus but That's It

Forest Plaza is a 7-minute walk from Ross, making it an ideal living location, particularly in the winter. However, the building is very old and in dire need of updates and modernization. We didn't have heat for almost 2 weeks in October. Management alerted of this almost 10 days after they found out about the issue. They did not provide any space heaters (only when residents asked after filing maintenance requests were they given space heaters). Additionally, there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire apartment building (55-60 units). Doing laundry on a weekend is near impossible. Management is cheap they won't spend money to install two more washers and dryers.

A lot of good, but a lot of bad

At Forest Plaza, you get a spacious apartment very close to Ross for a reasonable price. However, the building is extremely old and things break down... a lot. I like it, but it certainly isn't for everyone.
