Great!

Great gym! Friendly staff and safe area with a lot of restaurants and bars close by as well as public transportation. Young environment with young working adults and convenient garage parking. The pool area and business area is also well maintained and beautiful!

Too Expensive for the Area

It's a nice, brand-new construction but rents are too high for the area. This is not an upscale neighborhood and there aren't many stores around. It's also a little unsafe (I wouldn't walk alone after dark, after a woman was harassed only two bus stops down the street).

Best Apartment Building Ever

Living at the Halstead is a wonderful experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly, remembers your name and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy in your home. The location could be better (i.e. served by a metro), but it really is hard to complain.

Up-and-coming location, best value for your money

This is the closest you can live to downtown DC without paying a ridiculous monthly rent. The rent is cheaper than DC 1 bedrooms, and it is also a better value than living on the metro in Arlington. The building management is amazing and goes out of their way to plan monthly happy hours, breakfast on-the-go, pool parties, etc. for their residents. The neighbors are friendly and with mostly everyone having a dog, it is a great building for a pet-owner. I wish the metro was closer, but with there being multiple bike shares around, as well as frequent bus service to everywhere you would need to go, it hasn't been much of an issue for me. There is also a shuttle service during commuting hours, which helps a lot. I'd highly recommend this building to anyone interested in living just outside the city!

Great place and value

The Halstead is hands-down one of the best apartment buildings located in Arlington. We are right near all of the luxuries of DC without having to pay the high rates of rent. The amenities are excellent- shuttle rides to the metro, free happy hours, parties- we have been here for 3 years and plan to stay there until we buy a house!

Great place!

This is really a great place to live. Very convenient and easily accessible public transportation to DC. They have various social events to keep you entertained and to meet your neighbors. Their shuttle to Pentagon City is extremely useful, and the staff is amicable and helpful.

Great amenities in an excellent location!

This community is my first experience with a Bozutto managed property. The amenities are great, especially the garage parking (a plus if you hate shoveling snow). There are 3 pharmacies within one block, right across from the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse ($1 movie on Tues!) and 2 blocks from a Giant. Amazing gym to get your workout done, a nice conference room and a great study room I find myself very often studying for school exams.

Getting around Columbia Pike

Columbia Pike Reviews

Alcova heights, sort of suburban very quiet and very safe but walking distance to stores and restaurants.
Nice and diverse neighborhood. Up and coming. Safe and convenient. Lots of options for food and drinks. Close proximity to DC and Tyson's Corner. Lots of new construction.
I love Columbia pike. It is affordable to live here.
Close to many grocery stores, convenient stores and many restaurants. Very quick to Pentagon City metro station or Clareden metro station
The neighborhood is very family friendly. I can walk, bike, or bus easily to the metro/Pentagon City mall or bus/bike to the law school. Walking distance to fair assortment of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. on Columbia Pike. Neighborhood is dotted with parks, tennis courts, short bike path, and other recreation.
Absolutely lovely place to live. Lots of food options in a highly diverse neighborhood.
Been built up a lot in the last few years with a Harris Teeter in walking distance. Lots of metro bus lines right outside the door with a shuttle to the metro
More working class up and down the pike, no bars or anything of that sort. But close enough to Ballston and Shirlington.
