Penrose Square

This is a great place to be, as it is only 20 minutes from AU, and 15 minutes from DC. There is a Giant Supermarket inside of the complex, along with a business center, swimming pool, gym, and exotic lounge. The only problem is that the building has fire alarm issues. I would advise someone considering to live there to read a good amount of Google Reviews on the complex and make a decision from there.

Penrose Square Apt

I moved to Penrose Sq. Apartment at the start of this school year (I go to GW in DC) and LOVE living in Arlington. It really is the best place Ive ever lived. This is the first time that Im living on my own at my own place and Im very happy. The complex is super nice. The gym is convenient, and there is plenty to do and eat in the surrounding neighborhood. The aptartment itself is very clean with new appliances. Management readily available. Highly recommend!

Getting around Columbia Pike

Columbia Pike Reviews

Alcova heights, sort of suburban very quiet and very safe but walking distance to stores and restaurants.
Nice and diverse neighborhood. Up and coming. Safe and convenient. Lots of options for food and drinks. Close proximity to DC and Tyson's Corner. Lots of new construction.
I love Columbia pike. It is affordable to live here.
Close to many grocery stores, convenient stores and many restaurants. Very quick to Pentagon City metro station or Clareden metro station
The neighborhood is very family friendly. I can walk, bike, or bus easily to the metro/Pentagon City mall or bus/bike to the law school. Walking distance to fair assortment of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. on Columbia Pike. Neighborhood is dotted with parks, tennis courts, short bike path, and other recreation.
Absolutely lovely place to live. Lots of food options in a highly diverse neighborhood.
Been built up a lot in the last few years with a Harris Teeter in walking distance. Lots of metro bus lines right outside the door with a shuttle to the metro
More working class up and down the pike, no bars or anything of that sort. But close enough to Ballston and Shirlington.
