Good location

Great location but a lot of younger people (undergraduate students) live here making it a loud environment sometimes. The apartment layouts are great and up-to-date appliances. Also good amenities such as the fitness center and rooftop.

Review title

The apartment is great. It is a perfect location for Georgetown and for enjoying the city. We have not had a problem while living here.

Pretty good, definitely clean, kind of noisy.

Title says it all. Undergrad heavy.

Not great for law students

I have lived here the past 2 years including my senior year of undergrad at GW. This building is nice enough but it is over run with college students who are loud and inconsiderate. Location wise it is a little far of a walk from campus but the 24 hour concierge is nice to have.

Good but eh

It is a very very nice apartment complex. the inside of the rooms are nice, but the package system downstairs is horrendous. They've lost one of my packages. The amenities don't seem as freely accessible as they ought to. One must pay to rent the downstairs room.

2400 M

Great building with nice floor plans and fairly thick walls. Maintenance is super responsive, and the front desk people are great. Only two things to be aware of. First, read your renewal contract carefully and stay abreast of current lease rates. They raise rents by a percentage without taking into account your previous lease terms, which can lead to inflated rent. That said, they will adjust it if you call it to their attention. The second thing is that this building is largely GW undergrads-- i.e. Beer cans in the elevators, and the occasional take out left in weird places.

Biggest bonus: it's practically on top of Trader Joe's

2400 is pretty bad

2400 M is not a great place to live! I like the modern amenities. There is a nice study where I get a lot my homework work done. There are lots of issues with mold in my room! The front desk staff are extremely helpful and quickly respond to any maintenance requests. We've had a terrible experience with management. They lost my first apartment and gave it to another prospect and now I pay $300 more a month for a different room which is ridiculous.

Poor Tennant Quality

My neighbors are awful, and can't be quiet after midnight. This is not just my immediate neighbors, but down the hallway as well. I was woken up at 3:30am the other night because of a group of people just standing and talking loudly in the hallway. The management is ok at resolving these issues, but it is not enticing to continually have to tattle. Establishing quiet hours would be great.

West End Reviews

West End is fine. It's safe, there's easy access to transportation and plenty of supermarkets. But it's boring as anything - a neighborhood of hotels and office buildings. It's also overly pricey without really giving you much in return. As someone who had to move to DC on short notice - I picked West End based on location and little else - and I mostly came out of my time living here wishing I had done more research before signing my lease.
Safe neighborhood, great transportation hub with multiple bus stops less than a minute's walk from the apartment and a 5 minute walk to the metro. Some restaurants and bars nearby as well. Ten minute (at most!) walk to GW campus! My only gripe is that it's an expensive neighborhood but the apartment is competitively priced for the area.
The neighborhood is perfect. Ten minute walk to school, five minute walk to the metro. CVS and Walgreens just ten minutes away, trader joes just 3 minutes away, Whole Foods ten minutes away. There is a bus stop with a bunch of bus routes directly in front of the building. This neighborhood is also close to a bunch of other great neighborhoods, just a 20 minute walk to DuPont Circle and Georgetown where there are restaurants, bars, and stores. The monuments (the Lincoln) are only a 25 minute walk down 23rd street. There are numerous gyms nearby and the school gym is only a ten minute walk from the apartment. The area is probably the safest in the city and there is not a lot of noise over the normal city noise. It is next to the GW Hospital so ambulances going by can be annoying but not overly so. This neighborhood is great and close to every amenity.
I like the west end library and the l Trader Joe’s but other than that it is a little quiet and mostly filled with hotels. There aren’t very many food options either. It’s a close walk to Georgetown which is nice.
This neighborhood has everything a millennial needs - a CVS, Soulcycle, Sweetgreen, and great bars/restaurants. Highly recommend because it's quiet and really close to DuPont Circle and the GW Metro.
ONE BLOCK FROM TRADER JOES!! 5 min to Georgetown, 10 min to Dupont, 8 minute bike ride to campus. Bars & restaurants. Across the street from the dog park.
Hard to beat the Foggy Bottom area. Safe and close to everything you would need to be productive and have a great med school experience.
Some of the neighbors are great. It gets pretty dead very early here. There have been a few instances of intruders in the building.
