Pros and Cons of 660 Washington
I think 660 Washington is very convenient for being a 10 minute walk to school especially during the winter time and when it rains. It is a very modern building with modern apartments, but the rent is very expensive. The building has many tenants, but it is an undergraduate friendly building and tenants have many parties during the weekend and week with loud music coming through the walls and people talking in the hallways. It has a nice gym, pool, work areas, and 24/7 concierge that picks up packages and lets tenants know through text and email. The neighborhood is fine, but it’s always prudent to have city vision when walking around.
Not A Luxury Apartment But I Love It!
This is not a very fancy apartment building. The gym is pretty basic and there is no private co-working spaces. There is a rooftop pool and barbecue space but the pool is only open half of June through to the last few weeks of August. Even though the exterior is not a flashy and trendy as apartments in DC, the location is perfect and I can see myself living here for most of school. It is an 8 minute walk from the Red Line and a 10 minute walk to a transit center with over 20 different bus routes. It takes about 45 minutes to get to school but worth it for the price!
Amazing Apartments
Highly recommend this Apartment if you can afford the rent. Definitely doable with roommates for single students. 5 minute walk to rosslyn metro and 1 stop to gwu and can take any train line due to it being a transfer station.

Good Apartment
Problems
Well, my first unit flooded about 6 times with sewage water and this happened over the course of a year and a half. Finally after the last sewage flood, it damaged so much of my property that I had to file an insurance claim and transfer to a different unit. I have a full document that lists out all the issues I experienced up until 6 months ago.
Experience at Toscana Apartments
It's been a good couple of weeks so far -- the place is well-maintained and the area is also accessible and conducive. It is also close to the University and bus stations around are available as well just in case you need another mode of transportation apart from driving.
If you are up for it, you can also bike or ride an electric scooter to school, which is very accessible as well.
The Flats
I really like where I live and how close it is to work however the building did experience a rat problem this summer.
Office staff responds best in-person
When preparing to move to Maryland from the Midwest, I had emailed and called the apartment multiple times and not once was able to get a hold of any staff except for third-party workers from MyEquity. These thrid-party workers would tell me that they will have Gaithersburg Station Apartments call me but that never happened. After moving in, I learned that this was because over half of the staff was on vacation. Quite the horrible timing for me!
After living here a few months, I have grown to like this apartment complex. It has a great gym, the staff are friendly, and it is conveniently located next to the MARC Commuter Rail and many bus stops. If you are able to split the cost with a roommate and do not mind a commute, I recommend living here!
You truly wouldn't regret moving here
I love this apartment. It's clean, spacious, and new (2012). The management team is so responsive and every issue I've brought to them has been completely resolved in a couple days. The maintenance team is also really responsive and has solved every maintenance problem quickly. There is a pool, a gym, a courtyard with a grilling area, a small movie theater space, and an underground garage (parking is a bit pricey, though, at $125/month). And there are a couple of businesses in the first floor of the building and across the street - including some restaurants and takeout places, a yoga place, a salon, a nail salon, a wellness spa, and (my personal favorite) a little market (which is life changing when you've been doing work all evening and it's suddenly 10pm and you need some food). Overall it's been great here. The only drawback is that it's a 10-15 minute walk to the Courthouse or Clarendon metros. That said, I originally thought I would move when my lease was up because of the longish walk to the downtown, but I love everything else so much that now I'm thinking I might stay. Truly, no qualms!
