Bailey's Crossroads

-These apartments are generally nice to live in. The ceilings are high and the rooms are spacious. The building interiors are nicely decorated and have kind of a hotel-vibe.
-Management can be slow to respond to maintenance issues, and need to be pressed to get the job done.
-Very pet friendly.
-Location is an issue, as it isn't walking distance to any metro, and it takes about 30 mins to get to one by bus. There is, however, a shuttle that runs weekdays (early morning, and then in the afternoon) and Saturdays. The times the shuttle is running, it is very helpful and straightforward.

Far and expensive

Although the apartments are really nice, the distance from a metro station is a bit frustrating. There is a shuttle that takes people back and forth but that has great limits as well (i.e. doesn't start running until 1.40pm on Saturdays and does not run on Sunday's).

The open concept of the community makes it a bit less safe as well. Additionally the management does not respond to requests as efficiently.

Overall though the apartment amenities are brand new and sizable. A pro is that the management and apt's themselves are very pet friendly.

Getting around Columbia Pike

Columbia Pike Reviews

Alcova heights, sort of suburban very quiet and very safe but walking distance to stores and restaurants.
Nice and diverse neighborhood. Up and coming. Safe and convenient. Lots of options for food and drinks. Close proximity to DC and Tyson's Corner. Lots of new construction.
I love Columbia pike. It is affordable to live here.
Close to many grocery stores, convenient stores and many restaurants. Very quick to Pentagon City metro station or Clareden metro station
The neighborhood is very family friendly. I can walk, bike, or bus easily to the metro/Pentagon City mall or bus/bike to the law school. Walking distance to fair assortment of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. on Columbia Pike. Neighborhood is dotted with parks, tennis courts, short bike path, and other recreation.
Absolutely lovely place to live. Lots of food options in a highly diverse neighborhood.
Been built up a lot in the last few years with a Harris Teeter in walking distance. Lots of metro bus lines right outside the door with a shuttle to the metro
More working class up and down the pike, no bars or anything of that sort. But close enough to Ballston and Shirlington.
