Good location

I needed the space of a one bedroom and wanted to live close to the Chicago campus, so I landed on this spot.

Good Overall apartment

The apartment is good, however non-central air and dated air conditioners makes the apartment rather hot. Doorstaff is present during the night time, but there is still a call box that is used and it seems like the doorstaff lets random people in. The deck space is an amazing amenity, and is extremely spacious.

Affordable and perfectly located, but older

55 W Chestnut is one of the best values in River North for a one-bedroom apartment, and the management is responsive and friendly. The mailroom is great at sorting packages. It is older than the surrounding buildings and not all units have hardwood .

Amazing location

The best part about this place is the neighborhood and the apartment rent. You cannot find something more reasonable in this part of Chicago.

The management is great too and things get fixed soon. The only thing missing is better amenities, but I guess you have compromise somewhere.
