Good value for money though a bit of a trek from campus!
I've been here for almost 2 months and am pretty happy thus far:
- I have a studio that faces 11th Ave and the Hudson river, so I get a ton of natural light. Other units I viewed look into our neighboring buildings, so I can't say I can speak for those.
- Unit is very spacious and comes with a walk-in closet, a coat closet, and a laundry closet.
- Our concierge team is fantastic. Always have big smiles on their faces, and packages are handled with care and attention. They're 24x7 as well.
- Small deli a block down, Whole Foods about 5 mins away, and a decent number of food/coffee options.
Some things to note:
- The closest subway station is Hudson Yards and I still have to transfer at Times Sq-Herald to get to campus -- so for those who want great access to the subway, this might not be it. However, an 80% virtual semester means I don't have to trek to campus every day.
- While the area is generally quieter than most of Manhattan, the soundproofing could be better. At night (i.e. when it tends to be quieter), any noise coming from the street becomes amplified. There's also on-going construction that sometimes sneaks into Sunday mornings... but I'll take that over sirens and drunkards in the East Village.

Awesome building Okay location
I found this apartment because I wanted to live on the west side and didn't prioritize work commute. There are a few things I love about this building: those at the front desk are extremely helpful, friendly, candid. Maintenance requests are completed relatively quickly and it's much quieter compared to other parts of Manhattan. However, it's a bit far from lots of things namely grocery stores, gyms, and shopping. While the 7 and M23 are there, it is still a bit of a chore to go places. It is amazing to be next to the Highline, though.

Great, quiet building
Great, quiet building with good amenities and an excellent location. Easy access to the 7 or 1 trains and just one avenue from the Hudson River walkway. The blocks around the building are a little empty right now, but except the area to be booming in 1-2 years.
