Thin walls at The Statesman
The walls are very thin and you can hear noise from your neighbors and industrial noise from the building throughout the units.
New apartment with construction issues
I had some issues like mail box is not yet setup and frequent test alarms which is quite frustrating.
All new amenities
Amenities are great, but building still in construction
Overall great
This is a brand new apartment, so there're a few trial and errors (i.e., we still don't have a mailbox key and have to go to USPS for mail and it's November 2024, and we have a few random fire alarms out of no where), but it's spacious, super clean, brand new, relatively more quiet than other apartments. Some staff are really nice, some not so great.
Avalon Durham
Overall a good experience so far; Sometimes issues such as unnecessary fire alarms, garbage not being collected, etc come up
Brand-new Apartments!
It is a nice community, very close to everything you need on 9th! It’s just a 12-minute bike ride to school.
The brand-new apartments are the best part of it.
Bang for Buck
Great price for the amenities including parking, pool, gym. Dog friendly. Easy to jump on 93 and 30 mins to school (15 with no traffic).
The Avalon at Foxhall
Overall, it is a great location to live at and attend AU. Everything is pretty good except management takes a long time to respond to emails and aren't super professional. Otherwise, it is a nice building, everyone is very nice, and it is close to campus.
AVA Little Tokyo
I generally like it. Sometimes the leasing office is unresponsive.
Avalon Doral
Safe, quiet, nice place to live with a dog park. Worth the price.
Long Live Avalon First and M
I love my apartment! It is expensive but I feel very safe and I’m really close to school
Excellent Housing
I have enjoyed my stay due to the good security and great location. The facility is close to public transportation (bus and rail) and shopping areas. Everything seems very close! It's about a 25-minute train ride to Foggy Bottom. The facility is clean, and maintenance is responsive.
Decent apartment, good for value
Apartment itself is fine, not necessarily luxurious but its very livable. The part of M Street near North Capitol St can be a little bit sketchy, but there's also not a ton down there so there isn't much of a reason to go near there. Its very close to the metro (about a 2-3 min walk) which is super convenient, and GW is only one a few stops and a transfer away!
Avalon First and M Review
Average Property
Best experience but with price
I loved all the time here at Ava. But only concern or blocker is the rent and utility costs around 300 excluding electricity
