Fun, modern, community-oriented apartment building with amazing amenities!
This is our (me + my husband) second year living in our one bedroom apartment in West Chelsea. After two years at the AVA Highline, we plan on living here for many more! The apartment itself is a large 1-bedroom apartment, located on the 7th floor (with southwest exposure); complete with floor-to-ceiling windows; open kitchen with plenty of counter space; in-apartment washer + dryer; and lots of space (700+ square feet, to be exact) for entertaining. The building itself is very new (we were among the first residents to move in), with state-of-the-art amenities, including a rooftop lounge, with views of the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center; a backyard with barbecues, a fire pit, and a ping pong table; ample lounge space in the lobby; bike storage; an in-building gym; and even a pet-wash station (yes, it's a pet-friendly building too ($600 one-time fee for each pet). Management is also incredibly involved and responsive to any and all of our needs: from maintenance issues; to package acceptance; to throwing community-building mixers and events. The residents themselves skew towards the younger side, which is something important to keep in mind (i.e. potential issues with noise, etc.). Otherwise, life at AVA has been nothing short of amazing; and I would definitely recommend this building to anyone looking for a fun, modern place to live in Manhattan.

Smart & Modern Design
AVA Highline is more than a home. Living here feels quite luxurious. My boyfriend and I were the first residents to move into our apartment. We have a very large terrace (for New York) which is hard to come by in the city. The design of our apartment is modern with an efficient and smart design. I love the convenience of the gym on the main floor. The outdoor amenities are also very nice, although rarely used by my boyfriend and I since we have our own private oasis. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is the constant construction that is going on in this area. Since we moved, I wake up to construction every day from the new Zaha Hadid building. We used to have an open view, but now look directly at the building. Other than that, which is beyond the AVA's control, I love living here.

Paying for amenities you can't get anywhere else!
I've really enjoyed living at AVA! I haven't been able to find an apartment in the same neighborhood that has a washer/dryer in the apartment, HUGE bathroom, spacious closet, brand new kitchen and outdoor terrace for the rent price I am paying. Great building and amenities! Sometimes in the summer there can be a lot of noise with parties on other terraces or in the outdoor backyard but that is also kind of expected. Additionally, the area has a lot of construction going on so sleeping in is not super peaceful on the weekends!
