Such a great apartment
I truly love living here. It is close to dupont, GW, trader joes, plenty of gyms, Georgetown, the Mall, etc. It's affordable and there are options for parking, a small gym, and a pool during the summer. Amber, the manager is absolutely wonderful and always so kind and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Great location, great apartment, some annoyances
I love my actual apartment, the natural lighting is great, the kitchen is new, and it is in a great location. Aside from this though, it is an old building that has some old building features. One of these is that the second bedroom I think was originally part of the living room and the heat/air in there is extreme and then the living room doesn't have a radiator at all.

The Savoy
I love living at The Savoy. My studio is more than enough space to fit everything I need and have ample space to store my clothes. One of the major benefits of the savoy over other apartments is the massive balcony. I am able to fit a lot of furniture outside and is really nice to be able to read outside while at home. I also enjoy how my kitchen is off on its own and is sort of a separate room. It makes it feel less like I am cooking 10 ft away from my bed and in a completely different spot in the apartment. It is located about a 10 minute walk to GW and 5-7 minute walk to the foggy bottom metro. The front door staff is all nice and helpful and Amber, the manager, is awesome. Also, rooftop pool.

Overpriced, noisy neighbors, poor management
We have a nice little studio apartment but it is incredibly overpriced and neither of us would be able to afford it on our own. Most people in the building are undergrads who tend to be very noisy, so don't move here if you want peace and quiet. We've had some problems with the building and management. Overall, this is a good building with few serious problems and in a good location but it is overpriced and noisy. We've also had issues with mice (we live on the 6th floor). This building also tends to be very hot, so it is quite miserable in the summer before the AC gets turned on. It can be hot in the winter, too, as people are blasting their heat.

Great Apartment!
The Savoy is a great place to live! It's about an 8 minute walk from school and close to multiple gyms (OrangeTheory, SoulCycle, etc.), 10 minute walk from Dupont, surrounded by multiple restaurants and coffee shops, and I feel generally safe walking home after dark.
It also has all the amenities that were important to me (i.e. doorman to take packages, heating/cooling, a gym, pool, and parking is accessible if you need it)
I've only had one very minor issue in the apartment and it was fixed in less than 24 hours. I also don't get a lot of sunlight but this is mainly because I am on the first floor. I imagine the other units don't have this issue.
Overall I'd highly recommend considering living in The Savoy!

Living at the Savoy
Excellent location, but pricey. The managers are helpful and the front desk folks are incredibly friendly. The apartments themselves are simple and nice with great balconies. The apartments themselves with either have an updated kitchen or not. Having living in two apartments in the Savoy, the first without an updated kitchen and one with, the latter is still a perfectly fine clean kitchen. The building itself is dated and most of the floors have not been updated to the gray carpet seen on the main floor. There is a good-sized pool on the roof which is a plus!

Nice management, good location
Living in the West End is really convenient for me-- easy access to Georgetown and Dupont, and the blue/orange line for getting to work. The management at the Savoy is always friendly and responsive. Having a doorman and utilities included are other big advantages of the building. The only drawback is that there are some GW undergrads living in the building who can get loud, even midweek.
