Great property, poor management

Gold Run is in a perfect location! The condos are all right on Boulder Creek, and they back up to the Boulder Creek path, which you can walk/run/bike straight to Pearl Street downtown (hello, Farmer's Market bike rides!), or out to East Boulder. The whole complex is within a 15 minute walk of the law school, too, which is great. Each condo has a big deck, and the units themselves are very quiet. The walls seem thick, the neighbors are largely quiet grad students or young professionals, and even when there's a party happening in the building somewhere, you rarely hear the noise. Floors 1-2 have pretty low ceilings and can feel kind of cave-like, but the third floor apartments have vaulted ceilings, which makes the entire apartment feel bigger. Warning: the galley kitchens don't have windows, which means if you burn food often, you and your smoke detector will not be friends (the smoke gets trapped in the kitchen nook and takes a while to disperse). All in all, I enjoyed my time at Gold Run. However, the property management company should up their game. My deck was torn off for maintenance in the fall and not replaced until July, which was a HUGE problem. No one even began to work on it until May, and when they finally did, the workers were only contracted to show up about once a week. That sucked, because not only did I not have the use of my deck, but the storage closet for the apartment is located on the opposite side of the deck from the living room door, so I couldn't get to that either. The gym is included, but to be honest, I never went because I would rather be out on Boulder Creek Path, so I can't comment on whether it's nice or not. Also, pets aren't allowed at Gold Run, so if that's a deal breaker, this isn't the place for you.
