1300 Chestnut Street
Our apartment is large and well priced for the location in Center City and proximity to school. The management company is usually punctual in replying to work orders or concerns, however otherwise are not involved. The main negative is the noise level especially on weekend nights.

Good building, average to poor management
I love my apartment in this building- it's large, well set up, gets tons of natural light, and has a small balcony. The building has 3 main elevators and a service elevator you can use when moving in, which was extremely helpful.
One thing many people might dislike about it is that the walls to the street/windows do not block out much sound at all. I can frequently hear activity or drunk people shouting on the street at night on weekends. However, since I'm a heavy sleeper and am used to noise, having lived in NYC, this doesn't bother me much.
The property management corporation is also annoying to work with. They have fixed most minor repairs I've needed in a fairly timely manner, but I have consistent issues with their package service. Even though the building has a door woman 12pm-8pm ("security") our packages are delivered to Adelphia house (chestnut b/w 13th and 12th), and I have had issues tracking down several packages that claim to have been delivered but that I never received . Sometimes, if I ask to check in their package room though, I will find the package there and mis-labled in their logbook as a different apartment. It's a frustrating system and one their management doesn't seem to care about changing.
The apartment is near a lot of fun bars and restaurants too, and it usually feels very safe walking back at night because there are lots of people out late- although this comes with the caveat that sometimes drunk people walking along your path home are very annoying (but this is restricted to Friday/Saturday)
All of this being said, though, my apartment is extremely large, comfortable, clean, and nice. There is also laundry on every floor, which is very convenient. The things I listed aren't enough to make me want to move out of this lovely apartment, but they are things that should be kept in mind for anyone looking to live here.

Location + High Ceilings
Awesome location, surrounded byrhe best restaurants and bars in center city. Super close to transportation, bus top out front and Jefferson station is only a few blocks away. Only downfall is how loud it can be at nighttime. Love love the high celinngs, makes a two bedroom look and feel a lot bigger.

In the middle of it all
This apartment is perfect for roommates. The walls are thick and ceilings are high. The only con to this apartment is the outside noise. Since you are so close to the bars and street it is very loud at all times of the day. Other than that the location is amazing,

It's a good location but overpriced and bad management
I've lived here for a year and I cannot wait to move out. I've found places that are just as bad as this one for $300 less. The location is fine, but it's badly managed, dirty, and overpriced for that matter. I suppose if you don't care about your quality of living or are ok overpaying for crap, you could chose this one.

Really enjoyed living at 1300 Chestnut
Building is located at the corner of 13th and Chestnut, which is prime for social plans and access to restaurants and shopping. While the building isn't exceptionally new, the apartment within it is extremely spacious with wooden floors and a carpeted bedroom that fits a queen size bed. The apartment was great for hosting guests. The kitchen had a nice big island that opened into the living room. The biggest negative was that the monthly rent is fairly expensive and electricity and internet are not included. In my experience, management was always quick to respond to any maintenance issues. Overall great for a one-bedroom.

Midtown Village Reviews
The area is filled with lots of young people. I don't feel unsafe walking around even at night because there are people out all the time. There are a couple of narrow streets I probably wouldn't walk through though.
