Maple Leaf Apartments
The apartment building is super close to the law school and makes it easy for me to run home and grab lunch or my laptop charger if I forget it. Rent is high in this area and that's just something that comes with living within walking distance of the downtown area.

Going Downhill
I really thought my place was perfect for the first year ($740, all utilities except electricity included, less than 5 min walk to Maurer), so I renewed. Even this year it isn’t bad. I pay $888 but last year I got the $740 rate before they remodeled the apartment, so I anticipated the rent to increase this year. Well I will NOT be renewing for the 2023-2024 school year. Pavilion is increasing the rent to over $1,000, not including utilities, and they are taking away the current pet policy. You used to be able to own any kind of dog, no matter the breed or weight. Now the dog has to be under 35 lbs. This tiny place just isn’t worth over $1,000.
