Wonderful, quiet community!
Apartment on sixth is a great place to live! It’s pet friendly and the people in the complex are very friendly. It’s a quiet area with a lot of businesses right in the area. The commute to campus is also very manageable. The apartment itself is very small and I wouldn’t recommend it for more than one person but it’s the perfect size for someone who is looking to live on their own!

Great for singles with a W/D in-unit
I really enjoy my apartment here at Apartment on Sixth. I have a small stove, but I don't really like cooking, so it's fine for me. There are also a dishwasher and fridge in the small kitchen. The living area, bedroom, and bathroom are both generous in size. There is a small walk-in closet with a full washer and dryer. I also enjoy that the walls are white rather than beige. There is an air conditioner/heater in the living room, rather than central air. It's also quiet, as there are not many (if any) undergrads at the complex. Also only about 8 minutes away from Mutt Run on Clinton Lake, which my dog and I love.

Affordable 1 Bedrooms
I really liked my apartment here. Management was pretty good, electricity is low ($35 low months, $80 high months, average was about $50) (but the air is NOT central - heating and cooling comes from a unit on the wall in the living room, which I'd say is the biggest downside about this place. However, it did a good job of heating and cooling the whole place (600 square ft.) The oven was also small, but large enough to fit a standard 9x13 pan and all of my other cookware. Very close to Dillons, Sprouts, and Walmart. Great lighting, friendly and quiet neighbors, nice bathrooms, huge closet, washer and dryer included that was really new. Overall a good mid-range, affordable place to live that is still nice, but doesn't cost 800+ to rent. I live in a house now, but if I ever had to go back to living in an apartment, I'd go back to this place. No extra amenities, but I didn't care.

apartments on sixth
I had such a positive experience living in my apartment here. I had respectful and timely responses with management when that was needed. I was never penalized if my rent was paid a couple days late due to travel. I felt safe, the buildings are externally lit. It was a pet friendly complex, and not a noisy one. Being further from campus it attracted fewer (maybe 0) undergraduate students. It was diversity friendly when I was there as well.

Decent
It would be better as a top floor. The walls are pretty thin so i can hear everything happening above me... also not as energy efficient as they claim but overall not bad. Fairly new so i haven't had any maintenance issues really

Affordable in West Lawrence
Apartments on Sixth are nice affordable studio apartments. There is a wall to separate the sleeping and living areas. The complex has a range of residents from students to young couples to retired people. There is a lot of green space surrounding the complex. The nearby neighborhoods are safe and nice, but it is about a 10-15 minute drive from campus or downtown. The complex is near Rock Chalk Park and the Lawrence Sports Pavillian, which is a free gym for all Douglas County residents. Management has been friendly. The only thing I don't like about the complex is the small size of the apartments.

An adequate space for one person
The space is nice and comfortable for one person. However, you can frequently hear your neighbors, and they can frequently hear you. This is a major privacy issue for me.

Quiet, Close to Stores
Large 1 BR apartments (no door though between kitchen and bedroom). Lots of storage, washer/dryer included. Kitchen appliances are small (oven is economy-sized). Vaulted ceilings if you live on 2nd floor. No private balcony/patio space, but extra space in front of door for flower pots/patio furniture. Mixture of young professionals and elderly folks. Pets allowed, lots of pets in the complex and dog waste stations throughout the complex. No visitor parking but I haven't noticed anyone being towed. Across the street from the smaller Walmart and within walking distance to several fast food restaurants and a few sit-down restaurants. Far west Lawrence, about 15 minute drive to campus. Transit available but I've never used it. Brand new police station a block away.
