Bayonne at Southshore Review

I highly recommend living at Bayonne. There is a mix of students and older people, and it is generally a quiet complex. It is conveniently close to campus and is very safe. Maintenance is amazing, and people are constantly working to upkeep the grounds. There are lots of places you can study including beautiful views outside. You definitely get what you pay for. I moved here in the middle of the semester due to horrible experiences at The Venue at Northgate. I strongly advise no first year student live there. The location is great, but I lost a lot of study time and money because of the inadequate maintenance and managing staff. It is basically ran by college students.

Bayonne

Bayonne is probably the nicest apartment complex in Baton Rouge. However, it is expensive. If I wasn't with someone who made decent money, and if I didn't also work a part time job outside of LSU, there's no way I could afford it.

One of the best near campus

If you’re willing to pay a bit more for comfort and convenience, this is a great place to live near LSU. It’s relatively near everything, good neighborhood, has a parking garage, and the property is well maintained (which can be rare around here). Taking off two stars for paper-thin walls and being on a section of Stanford Ave that floods (but also drains) fairly quickly .

Apartment Living

Bayonne was a great place to live! It was very convenient to campus and the LSU Lakes. I enjoyed having a covered parking garage. The pool and gym were easily accessible. Maintenance was always prompt and the office was attentive.

Grad Student

I really like Bayonne. It feels safe and is conveniently close to campus. It is not rambunctious like other complexes around LSU which is nice. Only complaint is that the people above my apartment stomp a lot so maybe get a top floor room.

Very nice, pet friendly, safe, close to campus (but expensive)

Basically, this complex is perfect for a law student minus the high price. There are some undergrads, but mainly grad students and young working adults so you avoid undergrad shenanigans. If you live in 2 or 3 bedroom apartments, the price drops significantly. Pet friendly and huge space to walk dogs/dog parks. Across from the Lakes and 5 minute drive to class max.

If you can get over the price, it's one of the best apartment complexes near LSU.
