Love it!
The Saulet is a great place to live, especially for tulane med students. Lots of grad students live here, and young professionals as well. The neighborhood, lower garden district, is safe and close to lots of restaurants/coffee shops on Magazine street. Stone's throw away from downtown, as well, which means close to the medical school (10 minute drive, door to door). Lots of space to walk near the apartment, including two nearby parks. Management is alright, but the maintenance staff is incredible! Always taking care of problems fast, and always very kind. Easy to submit problems that need addressing on online portal. My apartment is very clean and modern, as well as spacious. I plan on living there all through medical school. Gym is great, and parking is great. Pools and grills at the pool are also really nice :) Living alone you definitely pay a bit of a premium, but I think all things considered it is worth it. One thing I don't like is that packages arrive at the leasing office where you have to pick them up during business hours. I am very comfortable and happy here, and highly recommend the Saulet!

Great apartment complex option
We have had a great experience living at the Saulet for 3+ years. Maintenance is extremely responsive to concerns and repairs. Front office staff are not the most responsive or helpful, but I think this is pretty par for the course with a large apartment complex. Free parking in a safe area, lower garden is close to all areas of the city and walking distance to magazine street.

Safe, Affordable, Convenient
The Saulet met my expectations when looking for an apartment complex that was safe, affordable, and convenient. Having a parking garage is especially convenient in New Orleans where it frequently rains and streets flood easily. It is not a luxury space by any means, but the apartments are clean and maintenance and staff are very nice (they usually respond to maintenance issues within 1 day). In-unit washer and dryer included, and they often replace the units, including fridge prior to a new tenant moving in. Location wise it is a great area to walk around, close to grocery stores and walking distance to Magazine street where there are a lot of shops and restaurants.

Not worth it
Management is difficult to work with. Maintenance issues are not addressed for a long time. Vastly overpriced for New Orleans' standards.

Good for school
The best part is free elevated parking and receptive maintenance

A safe bet
The office staff are nice and generally are happy to coordinate maintenance requests in a somewhat timely manner. It is a little noisy at times but for people moving to New Orleans from elsewhere, especially for those who can’t view potential properties in person before signing a lease or are not familiar with the safe and less-safe neighborhoods of the city, the Saulet is probably your safest bet as you know exactly what you are getting. Super pet friendly too which is a good perk and a good proportion of TUSOM students live here for at least their first year so you’ll be around familiar faces.

Great for students/young professionals
Location is great- can walk to Magazine street (restaurants/bars easily within walking distance). 3-4 blocks from Warehouse district (downtown area). 2 blocks from highway so you can get just about anywhere in 10 minutes. Free garage parking, free gym, very pet friendly with multiple outdoor spaces to take pets. Spacious units, if a little expensive for what they are. The website claims the complex is luxury- it isn't, but it isn't a dump either, very middle of the road in terms of that stuff (carpet on upper floors, sometimes some chipped/uneven paint, older appliances). Beware- there are roaches! They're all over the hallways and stairwells, but very rarely in the apartments themselves. No other bugs that I've seen. Maintenance is iffy, sometimes give very little notice when entering your unit, sometimes don't fix problems in a reasonable amount of time (half of my plugs haven't been working for months despite asking for maintenance several times). Feels very secure to me. Package room and multiple pools which are nice in New Orleans summers! I think it's very quiet but that may be luck of the draw with your neighbors. Love the balcony space. The Mardi Gras krewes stage their floats in the surrounding lots which is fun during carnival season- and you can easily walk to and from the parade route! Overall, I like living here, it has been really convenient during school and I think the benefits far outweigh all the drawbacks.
