Deer valley
Place itself is great and quiet. Large rooms and everything was spotless on move-in. Neighbors are generally nice. Several other law students live in my building. Would not recommend if you have pets. Management can be rude if you want to have a pet and will make you register the pet as an ESA. Management will then bother you every time they see you walking your pet to make sure it is registered. Maintenance is also very slow to get to your requests, even if its something like a hot water heater broke.

Clean, quiet, great with maintenance requests, and close to grocery stores
Deer Valley is amazing with maintenance requests. I can usually guarantee that if I put in a maintenance request it will be fixed that day or the following. Management is also very friendly and knows your name. They enjoy keeping the pool clean and open usually as early and as late as possible (except during covid when there were a few more restrictions). I generally have felt very secure at this complex. The complex is very well kept and one of the nicer places for the price in my opinion. It's super close to everything and just a short drive to campus. It is not the downtown experience some students look for but it a great because it's a friendly, clean, quiet place for my significant other and I to live. The only downfall is they have a no pet policy.

Great place to live
The apartment is nice and relatively spacious. I love the small fitness center and the free printing. I also like the no pets, no under-22 (or something like that) rule. I wish it had a shuttle to campus, but that's okay.

Quiet area, good location
The apartment is not on any main road, and pretty safe (the only problem we've had is some stolen packages over Christmas). A lot of law students and other grad students live in the same complex. It has a (very small) gym for residents, parking, and an outdoor pool. Maintenance is friendly and helpful. Doesn't allow undergrads, so it is relatively quiet and clean. The layout could be bigger and there is not a lot of natural light depending on how your apartment is situated. Students should have a parent or somebody co-sign when you apply, because they have a high income requirement for renting that can be hard for a student to meet on their own. Doesn't allow pets except as support animals. All apartments have very large walk-in closets.

Great!
I love my apartment complex. Management is very out of your hair. The maintenance team rocks - I very rarely need them. The complex is in the best location - 10 minutes the long way to get to Hitt Parking Garage. The residents are quiet and professional. There is also a small gym (only downside is it opens at 9 a.m.). There is a nice pool too. I think the living space is the most bang for your buck in Columbia if you want to live alone. The 2 bedrooms, 2 baths would be great if you wanted a roommate too.

Great place for price
Large apartment for the price. Some of the appliances are a little outdated but all are in working order and haven’t needed any maintenance. Minimal noise coming from neighboring units. Small gym space and pool access included with rent. Location is fantastic—close to grocery stores and restaurants.

Quiet and You Can See Actual Deer
Our experience has been pleasant. Property management is helpful and kind. Service tickets are responded to quickly and kindly. People seem to keep to themselves, but are friendly to say “hi” to on walks around the property.
